  1. I hate to copy everything I see over at BoB’s site and PoliNation, but they really found a treasure in this Sunny video mocking the stupid celebrities demanding gun control after Sandy hook. Hilarious! What a bunch of idiotic, group-thinking, brain-dead rubes.

  2. Here’s a fun video of city workers painting around a parked car to make the spot reserved for handicapped, and then the car getting towed. Nice little trick there.

You know what this reminds me of? A close friend of mine just complained about the most recent insult during a long probation after a bogus Colorado DUI. I say bogus, because she got nailed by a cop right after drinking 2 beers with friends, and I know it was just 2 beers because I was the one who picked her up in the early morning hours from the drunk tank. She blew zeroes on the breathalyzer just hours after getting picked up, and that’s impossible unless you only had a small amount of alcohol in your system to begin with. She also passed the roadside sobriety test, but in the spirit of cooperation, consented to the roadside breath test, which was a mistake, I guess. Even though the courts treated her well, the DMV arbitrarily yanked her license for almost a year, during which time friends had to drive her to work. After being terrorized by the system for almost a year and a half for daring to drink TWO BEERS and drive her car home, including submitting to random alcohol tests that required she not drink for a year (WTF??), she just had a probation officer quit, which caused her to be in default of scheduled meetings. When the new nazi PO came on board, she refused to return calls, which caused more anxiety and an arrest warrant to be issued. The whole thing makes me really feel for people who are at the mercy of “the system,” which is seriously broken. I guess we better all get used to it, because at the rate we’re creating new laws, we will all be criminals soon. And trust me, when you’re in the system it doesn’t matter how mundane your “crime.” You are treated like a serial killer with no rights no matter what you do. Unless, of course, you ARE a serial killer. Then the ACLU gets you treated like a king.

This is wrong. Just plain wrong! Being in the “system” like this can cause you to be a criminal! Ugh!

    • What is sad is when you hear about the guy who murders someone and then they give a list of all his arrests and mention that he is out of jail on parole for something. What has happened that career criminals get away with everything (probably because they know how to play the system) while people who end up in the system on some fluke are treated horribly. Perhaps that is the answer, they are so afraid of being called racist or such that they are bullies to those that they know don’t know the system.

      • Honestly, I don’t know, Garnette. We have horror stories around here about guys with dozens of DUI convictions, including vehicular death, and they still have their licenses. Yet we all know people whose lives have very nearly been ruined by one casual brush with the law. It just never makes sense, but it’s probably like you say. If you can pay for the good lawyers, you’re good to go. I’m actually more pissed at the legislation-happy folks who load us up with all the stupid safety laws that can’t really be enforced. And when the lack of enforcement causes them grief, their solution is to jack up the penalties so high that people are crucified for doing nothing when they’re nabbed.

Years ago, I got a state certification to be a bartender in TX. The whole thing was about liquor laws. The guy running the class told us that that year MADD had 175 different pieces of legislation they were pushing just in TX.

          • I hear ya. My daughter is also a bartender, and she worries about the laws, since she could be liable at any time for overserving or failing to call cabs when necessary. But, strangely, the laws that gave her the most heartburn had to do with liability for EMTs and Paramedics. She used to work as an EMT, and the rules for legal “exposure” made her absolutely terrified, and she doesn’t do it anymore.

Over at Heritage, they have an entire section of their website devoted to over-criminalization. We are all criminals, we just don’t know it yet.

  3. Noooo! Not the vise grips!

  4. Just had a storm last night. These people are so lazy it’s criminal.

  5. Man, the LAPD is imploding. Maybe this dude they’re looking for has some legit points about them. They shot up these poor women just because they were in a similar-looking pickup truck. Its a miracle they’re not both dead instead of just shot up.

  6. Syrian woman becomes dreaded sniper after children killed.
Now known only as “Guevara,” she was at one time a 36-year-old English teacher before her seven-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son were brutally killed by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government forces. The tragedy galvanized her into becoming one of Aleppo’s most feared frontline fighters, sniping government forces. “I will not forget my children’s blood,” she vows, “and I promise to take revenge.”

Nice choice of a weapon. Those Styers are very nice…and very accurate. And, they ain’t cheap, either. Wonder where she got the $$$ for it.

[She does need to use the spacers to shorten the length of pull; and she'd probably do a lot better with a better scope and a set of decent rings on a lower mount. She's be able to get a decent cheek-weld then.]
