A sword and the Bible. Nowadays they call us bitter clingers. Great statue, very powerful image.

  2. The pulpit in the Catholic church of Our Lady dates from 1685, two years after the battle of Vienna when the Christian armies of the Polish King John III Sobieski defeated the Turks poised to overrun Europe. The sculpted wooden pulpit, made by Mattheus van Beveren, depicts a man subdued by angels and represents the triumph of Christianity over Islam. The man is generally thought to be Mohammed. He is holding a book which is generally assumed to be the Koran.

Unions riot during the Great Depression. I never learned about this in any of my history classes. This is what DHS is preparing for.

Illinois state senator pushes anti-anonymity bill

This will probably pass if the liberals Senators get their way. All Americans need to be furious over this bill, not just conservatives in Illinois. If this bill passes, watch it spread like wildfire.

      Has anybody heard from Shalini?
She doesn’t live in H-bad, but she might have some more info that we don’t get from our “media”.

      • Wait… I just got this off a Keyhole satellite image over Chennai. It looks like Shalini is tied up running errands with her brother and a bunch of nieces and nephews. It could be a while before we get a story about H-bad. ;)

        • solaratov says:

 How fast would we get busted here if we traveled like that?

(When I was a wee shootist, my father was stationed in Puerto Rico; and he used to transport me on his scooter like that little one in the front. That was in the late 1940s, btw. ;-) )

          • Personally, I think it’s fine. Americans have a cow when they see 7 on a scooter in Mexico, or kids being transported in the back of open pickups, but I hate what the safety mafia does to big families in this country. In my view, it’s better to accept the risk of a hurt kid, than to make the decision to have fewer kids because you can’t afford a Suburban and all the safety crap. Like Bob and Hoot have asked in the past, rhetorically, which one would you choose not to have? Little Sally? Sorry Sally, we decided not to have you because the laws force us to spend all our time padding and shrink-wrapping your older siblings so no harm can ever possibly come to them, and hiring only gov’t-approved PhD babysitters for them. Have a nice non-existence!

Sol, have you seen puerto Rico lately? I can’t imagine PR being a state of the Union. We would not be able to afford their misery as it stands now. No way.

This is a long show, but it’s worth it. That place is absolute hell now.

HAHAH! Hey, at least he’s hands free!

          • That’s right! And he can even text while he’s driving, as long as his wife doesn’t fall off while she’s taking dictation. “Honey? Hang up on this idiot and then text him an obscene tell-off message. But wait until I get past this pothole and the water-buffalo brush-back coming up. You’re going to have to hold on for that.”

Breaking: Obama campaign caught in major NC vote fraud scheme

    http://www.examiner.com/article/breaking-obama-campaign-caught-major-vote-fraud-scheme

This story doesn’t matter one bit. It’ll never hit MSM and the wimps in the GOP will never do anything about it.

    • Coyote says:

Piers Morgan MUST be so butt hurt over this one. He’s gonna have to suck on someone’s machine gun now…

BWAH-HAHAHAH!!! This is so damned funny!

Report: President Obama to visit Newport News Shipbuilding

    http://wtkr.com/2013/02/21/report-president-obama-to-visit-newport-news-shipbuilding/

This pisses me off. The majority of the workers there are Dems so he’s just pandering to his base while giving the illusion that he actually gives a damn. This whole thing was a setup from the get-go and I bet those spineless wimps in the GOP will cave and fall right into his trap.

Randy Forbes is a good guy and I like what he put in his statement:
“…The President, on the other hand, signed sequestration into law. He even said last year that it would not happen…I hope it is the first step towards working with the President to overturn the bill that he signed into law.”

  8. Harvey says:

Did you see on Drudge that the WH is asking for people to post their gun violence stories? I hope lots of people who have had to defend themselves with guns flood that page!

  9. Chain mail tie. That is outstanding.

  10. I guarantee the kid is not fast enough to get any of these scraps.

    • Coyote says:

Some buds of mine have just come back over and they were talking about it while we were sitting around the campfire drinking beer. I hadn’t read anything about it until now.

So, it appears as though Obama wins in one of two ways:
      1) If the vet doesn’t claim anything, the VA doesn’t have to pay disability
      2) If the vet claims anything, the administration can claim veteran instability status and can put your name on the list for “NO SALE” for NIC. One less gun owner.

He knows what he’s doing. Yup yup. But we all saw this one coming anyways…
