    1) That picture is totally rad. Any idea where it is?
    2) Had a dream last night that I was in some large alabaster room off the streets of Rome. All of a sudden, this tall nun came running in, giddy with excitement. “Seventy-nine on the first vote!” For some reason, this filled me with a great and terrible foreboding– it’s not supposed to be decided on the first vote, and if one vote is all it takes, that means disaster. In the dream, I asked in alarm: “Not Peter, though, right? Please, not Peter!
I forget who it was, but he wasn’t Eurpoean. . . or Asian. . .
    3) Saw the first two episodes of Walking Dead last night. Never thought body parts would get boring so fast. Also, lesson: If you want to survive a bad situation, don’t be the jack@ss that unnecessarily provokes people who would otherwise be on your team. If you haven’t got the sense to not go out of your way to insult people, then I don’t care how bad-a$$ed you are, you haven’t the wits to be a member of my team, and I will toss your dumb @$$ to the zombies . . .
    4) Good morning everyone!

    • Good morning! Zombies and alabaster rooms and nuns and popes. Sounds like a good night! πŸ˜€ I predict that this conclave will last into next month, but my predictions are always wrong, so maybe your dream has a chance. πŸ˜‰

    Bastei Bridge in Germany.

    • Thanks, Freedom. Sorry to leave out the info.
It’s a cool place, but I’m not sure the bridge goes anywhere. It’s there for tourists, I think. This bridge illustrates a difference in philosophies between Germans (and Swiss) and Americans when it comes to stewardship of natural beauty. Maybe you can correct me if I’m wrong, ZMike. The former have no problem augmenting natural landmarks with manmade touches, like bridges and tunnels and paths and roads, but they do it in a way that’s, if possible, even more beautiful. The modern (American) notion seems to be that all nature needs to be untouched, even if it means that nobody gets to see it… ever. I think I see some benefit to the German view.

  4. Well Zoph, your dream’s wrong. Black smoke today. πŸ™‚ Probably a relief!

I’m glad! The implication in the dream was that it was the between-vote times when the Holy Spirit really got to work– if the first vote was the last, it meant that someone had rigged something somewhere to keep the HS out of the process all together. So yes, glad it was only zombies eating my brain last night, lol!

    • Errr, not that white smoke would mean they actually chose the next Vicar. After all it was in 1958 that white smoke billowed out for 5 minutes as the whole world announced that a new Pope had been chosen (the news was even announce on their very own vatican radio station @ 6:00 p.m. October 26th, 1958 that the new Pope had been elected and the announcers words even appeared on the “London Tablet” on Nov. 1st, 1958). Thus it was not to be, because shortly after the New Pope never arrived and white smoke changed into black smoke for 2 more days leaving the world very confussed. So we wait and see what will transpire in these wicked times of ours! 😦
