That is a exquisite photo! Such colors!

  3. “What we now see is panic selling, perhaps triggered by the Fed’s stimulus view. The Fed has given the signal that there’s a possibility to reduce QE, and that took a lot of trust out of gold,” said Dominic Schnider, an analyst at UBS Wealth Management.

      5) Lead styphnate

    • This gold thing looks like manipulation to me for 2 reasons. For one, analysts can’t put their finger on an actual reason for it that isn’t a stretch. Also, George Soros made a public comment about gold a few days ago, and he’s virtually proven that every time he opens his mouth, it’s related to an attempt to manipulate markets.
      From the Blaze:
“It’s a slaughter,” said Carsten Fritsch, senior commodity analyst at Commerzbank AG. “It all comes via the futures market. On Friday, more than 1,100 tons of paper gold had been traded. That is more than annual gold demand from China or India. I can’t see a fundamental reason for this, to be honest.
“There are a lot of people throwing up their hands. Throwing positions overboard. Panic is everywhere. I’ve never seen anything like this. I mean it,” said Gartman Letter founder Dennis Gartman.
Analysts are still in disagreement over what’s pushing gold down (they’re debating whether it’s Fed policy, the Crisis in Cyprus, or recent economic data out of China).

I think something is being anticipated…or was being anticipated. Just a theory.

        • The only thing I can see is a bunch of billionaires or governments who are looking to buy cheap, have orchestrated a bunch of selling to throw the markets into a panic so they can buy low later. It’s either that or there really is enough confidence building in the financial systems, but who in their right minds would have confidence right now? A “rumor” that the Fed “might” slow down their money printing? Has everyone in euphoria? Give me a break.

          • Coyote says:

Apart from today’s Boston bombing. I don’t think it’s connected to that. I think it’s manipulation for gain, definitely…but not linked to the bombing. The speculators knew and watched Cyprus dump a bundle of bricks on the market and knew the price would tank.

I think there is a group of schemers out there working a pump-n-dump scam on gold, but that’s even hard to figure out right now because I don’t completely see their angle. The entire thing is built on non-physical gold…or “paper gold”, for which there not be the actual gold that the paper is claiming. See what’s going on? There’s too much paper out there that may overlap the physical gold.
Some folks I know only hold “paper-gold” and they are paying huge sums in fees for vaults to “protect” their gold. Right. One guy told me he could take possession “any time he wanted to.” Uh huh. With additional fees and penalties. It’s insane.

Possession is the key. Who has the physical possession of that gold?
Where else have we seen this kind of speculation before? The housing market?
Who got accused by Barnhardt (and others) for taking precious metal savings from investors before? Corzine? How was it that he did it?

            Just a theory.

This is what I think you guys miss all too often. You’ve set yourselves up in an educated and higher civilized society and you’ve forgotten what it’s like down in the dirty streets. You’ve worked hard to remove yourselves from the street level grit that walks around on the pavement, yes, but you’ve forgotten the simple moves a huckster and fraudster makes to get one over on you. This gold game is only slightly more complex than a street-level card hustle. But not by much. It’s done by guys with slightly whiter collars.
The only way to win the gold game is to hold the physical gold bullion…
…or simply just not to start to play the game to begin with.

If you need a crash course on a street level hustle, hang out in downtown El Paso Texas.
You’ll watch more because you won’t be able to understand the language. Your senses will be amplified, and you’ll catch more. That part there? Well, that’s not theory…and it’s still the same techniques, the catch is just larger. The lures are still the same.

  4. Just a thought from Corbin Bernsen:
“… in these days where there’s so much in the world that’s not working and somehow we’ve used faith and religion as a glue for society, something that’s made things work, not drive things apart, I feel there’s a need to celebrate that for the good of what it is. It gets so much bad press.”

This day has been more interesting than anticipated. Praying for the People of Boston. Waiting for the Other Shoe . . . *sigh*.

Also, always, always remember– look now at all the things that this event, terrible as it is, is distracting us from. Watch the other Hand.

  6. “We’re monitoring the situation.”
“On days like this, there are no Republicans or Democrats.” But tomorrow you can bet we will find a way to blame Republicans for this, and it will not even occur to us to call for banning bombs or marathons, but we may call for tougher restrictions on guns, Christianity and soda.

    Somebody’s Watching Me
I’m not going to go look for my dusty copy of The Anarchist Cookbook (is this the copy I bought back in high school? I doubt it…) for the exact quote, but even back in the late ’60s when it was written, the advice “never say on the phone anything you wouldn’t say with a cop in the room” was practically an aphorism amongst the book’s target audience.

Nowadays I am typing this on a computer that has a camera and a microphone right over the screen. I haven’t turned them on, but that doesn’t mean nobody has. Like most people, I carry a remotely-activatable GPS locator with microphone around with me most of the time, and like most people’s, mine even has a camera or two on it.

The telescreen isn’t behind the mirror anymore; it’s in your pocket.

A word to the wise is sufficient.

It’s not paranoia if they *really* are out to get you.

    • Knight4GFC says:

God have mercy on the souls lost, injured, and affected by this bombing today. Bless them O Lord. Your Will be done and not mine. Amen.

“Never let a crisis go to waste”. We are at war with two enemies. Those without and within. Islamic Terrorists, and a tyrannical agenda from our own government. Right now, I still fear my own government more than I do the other. That says a lot about what’s going on here in America. We need to get our nation back to a nation under God, where we can live within our rights of freedom as it has been endowed upon us by our Creator. We do that, all else will follow.
Now let me see… yup! Still got my Bear Arms and a Bible. I’s got my boots on. And I have my fellow like-minded Brothers and Sisters here. I am blessed. If I am on God’s side, I have nothing to lose. 4GFC!
