I know, I know. Everybody’s probably getting tired of all the scenic beauty in the OT photos, like this exotic image. You’re probably ready for some gritty realism instead, right? Hah!  Well, don’t expect it here.  Today’s photo is just an aberration to go along with this quiz. Where was this photo taken?

A. Monrovia, Liberia
B. Kiev, Ukraine
C. Bayamo, Cuba
D. Detroit, USA
E. Belfast, Ireland
F. Chisinau, Moldova

The prize, as always, is beer.

  1. by the look of the cars I would guess Detroit! And no I’m not going to “Like” this picture

Gotta go with Deeetroit too. The cars and the W.Hargrove Demolition sign on the left put it in USA. Hargrove is based in NJ but even Jersey doesn’t look THAT bad. I don’t know why but no matter what year a picture is taken, ghetto cars always look the same.

      • That’s true about ghetto cars. Except in Cuba, where the ghetto cars tend to be about 50 years older than ours … and cooler looking.

Ok, I can’t fool you guys. Detroit, it is. You all win. I owe you all beer.

Unfortunately, like the cow from yesterday, this one tastes vaguely like motor oil… 😉

    • texan59 says:

Looks like some Motor City Madness to me as well. Well done, liberals. Well done. 👿

  2. Ditto, Ditto, Ditto.

  5. Watch live Benghazi Whistleblower Testimony Today:

  6. New statistics from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) show firearm related homicides have declined 39 percent over the course of 18 years in the United States. Nonfatal firearm crimes have decreased 69 percent in the same time period. (And that’s in an unprecedented period of accelerated arms purchases by citizens.)

Some are calling this the tweet of the Century. Some, just tweet of the year. 🙂

I saw this article the other day. At that time none of the BC’s were attached. I’m not smart enough to get in the weeds with all that computer stuff. It could be getting real, but I’m not holding my breath.

The irony. Algore “There’s no such thing as ethical oil”. 👿

    • What a big fat liar. Here’s some of Hot Air’s comments about Man-Bear-Pig:
“Facepalm. It’s not that climate change isn’t an issue we should be considering, but with his many anti-oil and anti-Keystone pipeline tirades, Gore isn’t really pointing to any viable alternatives as much as he is insisting that we all take a voluntary vow of poverty and slap a self-imposed damper on our economic growth. It would be a lot more convincing if A) his and the eco-radical movement’s decades of catastrophic claims weren’t all falling spectacularly short and those aforementioned climate-change neighborhood effects were even remotely as severe as they’ve been hysterically demanding, and B) he didn’t stand to continue profiting tremendously off of that very same messaging. He’s super cereal, you guys.”

    Freedomworks scores DC. Interesting reading.

    • This is very cool, Tex. I just can’t figure out some of these votes, though. For example, why in the world would Debbie Wassername Schultz vote ‘nay’ on the continuing funding resolutions? Weren’t those bills that her party and her boss, strongly supported? What the hell was that? And except for some of the really good Repubs, like Louis Gomert (TX, of course), who votes consistently, everybody else is a psychotic mess. Most of the Repubs vote like liberals half the time, and the Demos are just as confusing.

      • texan59 says:

The only thing I can think of is that in the House, you probably have some on either side who voted once the outcome was already set so they could cast a throwaway vote to appease some at home. Otherwise, I don’t have a clue.

If any of those guns was used by…oh let’s say…. Che Guevara, Arafat, Lenin (Vladimir not John) or even Marx ( Karl or Harpo) the museum would change their minds.

      • texan59 says:

Or maybe Bill Ayers. I myself, am more of a Zeppo fan myself. 🙂

      • Of course.

Hey, Barn, did you guys get any flooding in your part of Long Island today? I heard the rains were pretty bad.

        • barnslayer says:

No problems here, thanks. It rained really hard this morning but even the trains were okay. Our house is on a hill so if we get flooded NYC is under water and I guess I’d take the day off. We walked two blocks from the subway to the office. It took at least 3 hours for my jeans to dry out.
