Dangit, Dad. Why can’t you just take the Harley out for a drive on Fathers Day like other dads?

  1. I’d like to start off today by wishing all dads out there, even those who are not biologically such but are dad to a congregation of church-folks or a flock of critters or otherwise, a wonderful day. I must especially honor our GFC today, because he is the honored father to a bigger clan than any of us. I’m not sure how many, exactly, because HIS dad had even more (14, I think) and I keep mixing them up. Happy Dad’s Day, GFC, and aloha!! πŸ™‚

      I SECOND THAT!!! πŸ™‚
I wish a Blessed Father’s Day to all our Fathers here at 4GFC! May our Father in Heaven bless you all!
      Thanks Grunt!

    • Grunt, Thank you for being so thoughtful. God Bless You also on Fathers Day also. Especially since you just inherited another fully grown male ta-boot!. Yes my Father (may he rest in perfect peace) Fathered 15 children.
Happy Father’s Day to all of the Fathers. Even spiritual fathers as well.

  3. On 110th anniversary of Harley Davidson, Pope blesses hundreds of motorcycle drivers as they gather in Rome for Italian tour.

  4. In further Pope news…

VATICAN (BHN) – Pope Francis today responded to Nancy Pelosi’s (Retard-CA) recent remarks where she cited her Catholic faith in defending late term abortion, by performing a remote exorcism over her photograph.

The ceremony, normally carried out in person, was performed at St. Peter’s Basilica. Witnesses claim the large photo of Pelosi being held by a Bishop gave off acrid smoke as the Pope sprinkled it with holy water.

“Time will tell if this was successful, the evil possessing Mrs. Pelosi was obviously very, very strong,” said a Vatican spokesman. “Using the adoration of Christ as reason for killing innocent little children is about as bad as it gets.”

A Pelosi staff member bristled at suggestions her boss was demonic, saying, “There’s a big difference between being incredibly stupid and being possessed by evil. A big difference.”

    • Sorry to burst your hope there Grunt, but, this is not possible since you have to “consent” (want) to be exocised in the first place. Since fully possessed cannot possible want to be “cleaned of themselves” it’s a “no-go”.

  5. Shalini says:

Happy Father’s Day guys!!! Belated blog anniversary wishes, as well!! πŸ™‚ So, how have you all been? Where are the ladies??

    • Knight4GFC says:

Well, I have been pretty busy. I’m sure the others have been too. And Grunt, as busy as I know he is, he’s been keeping it lively around here at 4GFC as well as Barn, Solarotov and RP. As for the ladies, they’ve been busy too I’m sure. We’ve been working hard trying to make a positive difference in our troubled nation. But, one of the ladies just showed up! πŸ˜‰ How have you been Shalini?

      • Shalini says:

Good! πŸ™‚ Quite busy, though! You’ve got mail, BTW. πŸ™‚

        • Knight4GFC says:

I am happy to hear you are doing well and I fully expect you are busy right now. I mean, you just got married! Congrats again! πŸ™‚ I’ll read your email. Thank you.

        • barnslayer says:

Hi Shalini! Good to see you around. I hope your wedding went as planned without any troubles. Our daughter is planning for hers next May.

          • Shalini says:

That’s lovely! Congratulations to your daughter and the happy parents, as well!! πŸ™‚ You’ve got plenty of time but it will never be enough. I should know!

        • texan59 says:

Congratulations on your recent nuptials Miss Shalini. πŸ˜€

    • MRM and Mots were just checking in a day or two ago. Freedom and Bob are pretty regular. As for Zoph, she just got a promotion at work and she’s been sorely neglecting us. Hey, Zoph! I neglect my job; why can’t you? We’re your friiiiieeeeends! Visit every now and then, ok? πŸ˜€

  6. Shalini says:

Hey guys… I don’t have my wedding album up yet. But may be I could share a few pictures here? But I want the post to be password protected. Could that be done?

    • Of course!! Sorry we didn’t respond right away, but I think most of us were preoccupied last night. Thanks, Knight, for getting a post up this morning, BTW. I was too tired after watching Les Miserables last night with the family. What a great play/movie to see on Fathers Day, FWIW.

Shal, setting up a password protected post is extremely easy. I would do it right now, but it might be more appropriate if you authored the post so your gravatar was attached to it. You’re an author, so simply open the dashboard by pulling down the FGFC bar at the upper left. Mouse over the “pushpin” button and select “New Post.” Enter a title and click “Publish” on the right side. I’ll take over from there and set up the password protection. If you’d like to suggest a password, email it to me. Likewise, if you’d like to submit a publicly appropriate photo for the top of the post, such as a building or landscape, email as well. Thanks for doing this!!

      • Shalini says:

Hey Grunt! I tried creating a new post with password protection. But it’s taking ages to upload the pictures. I’ve uploaded some. Do you mind if I email the pictures to you, the ones I want to share, at least, so you could upload them? I’ll also email the password I set up. But since the pictures may take up too much space, we may have to delete the pictures in about a week or so. Let me know.

        • Fantastic, Shal! Thank you for doing that. I’d be happy to edit if you like. I noticed that the photos you’re uploading are very large – probably larger than is necessary, so if you can reduce the size of them (I’d guess about half) before you upload, that would help. But please feel free to send them to me instead, and I can do it. Wonderful photos!! It must have been a beautiful wedding mass. Can’t wait to hear more about it. Checking mail now…
