  1. What’s the deal with this? According to (Hat tip: iotw)

We don’t know why, but cheaters seem to love German cars. Audi has managed to earn itself quite a reputation in the UK. While many people formerly believed that BMW owners were the most obnoxious drivers on the roads (a view still popular in the US), Audi is fast taking over as the preferred brand for jerks. Well, prepare to not have that view challenged when you learn that the UK dating site Illicit Encounters, which caters to married people who cheat, has revealed that a massive 22.21 percent of their users drive Audis.

That puts Audi in first place for the first time, with a commanding lead over the former long-time #1, BMW (duh). Third place went to Mercedes and fourth to Volkswagen. This is by no means the most empirical evidence in existence, but it does suggest that those who cheat on their spouses also love German cars. We wonโ€™t pretend to understand the psychology here, besides, weโ€™ve got to get the A4 down to the carwash and then delete some emails.

Audi worked hard for the honor. This one commercial was the worst offender to me. I wrote to Audi about it. The guy who replied was arrogant and insulting. If he had spoken that way to me in person we would have gone round and round. Judge for yourself:

      • Yup. That’s pretty insulting.

Got nuthin’ against German cars. Even owned one once. But I’ve also noticed that the people I know who belong to the “arrogantly uninformed, superficial, status-conscious, upper-middle-class, mostly white, lefty-leaning, Obama-supporting, faux-green-obsessed, faux-feminist idiot class REALLY like their VWs and Audis. I would say there’s a slightly different dynamic with the BMWs and Mercedes, but who knows.

I remember the old joke – how can you tell the difference between a porcupine and a BMW owner…….. the porcupine was the one with the pr!cks on the outside! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

      • I remember once being told that just because a guy has a BMW doesn’t mean he can afford it. So, find out how many years of payments he would be making on the car. Never heard that about another car, only about a guy driving a BMW.

  2. Sarah’s speech at Faith & Freedom Coalition on the 15th. Pretty good stuff.

Wow! I guess they weren’t close friends. I’m not an expert on either individual but you would have thought a Christian and a small government conservative would have had enough in common. But having glimpsed at a few items it seems Lewis was too much a progressive for Rand. She didn’t seem too keen on religion either, especially Christianity.

    A thought…….

Lock your wife and your dog in the trunk of your car.

Drive around for an hour or so.

Who’s gonna be happy to see you when you open the trunk?

    • Heh. Not entirely a fair question. Try locking your dog in the trunk with Barry Obama for an hour or so. If he survives, your dog will NOT be happy to see you.

On the other hand. Forget the dog. Just try locking Barry Obama in your trunk for a while. That is all. ๐Ÿ˜€

You’re a better man than I sol, if you can pull that one off! ๐Ÿ˜†

So, he recently switched from the Democratic party to the Republican Party.
With all that he said, did he JUST realize THAT too?

      I doubt it.

Question: If he knew this, why was he a Democrat to BEGIN with?
Question: Why the “sudden” change of heart, sudden political change?
Question: If a Democrat changes skin, do they leave their principles aside?

I don’t believe this guy. I think he’s all about sabotage within the camp.

      I. DON’T. TRUST. HIM.

  4. What A Hoot says:

So since I appreciate you alls opinions, is Snowden a hero or a traitor?

    • I don’t know. The whole thing is complex, and I’m not sure he did what he did for all the right reasons, but my gut tendency is to back him.

    • Knight4GFC says:

I’ll be brave. Just remember that this is just MHO. First of all, according to the law, he’s a traitor. In my opinion, based on the NSA leaks that the government is wiretapping U.S. citizens, if he is doing this knowing full well the consequences of his actions believing in the rights of the American people and the U.S. Constitution, believing in the morals that this country’s founding was based on, and giving up his life as he knows it here in the U.S. for this, then he is a hero. If he did it for personal gains, alterior motives that go against the morals of the Constitution, then he is a traitor and deserves to suffer the consequences of his actions, even if what he leaked was beneficial to the rights of the American people.

Let us also remember that this whole scenario is being watched by those who wish to do ill towards our country and is in a position to give away secrets that could really bring harm to the American people. If he “gets away” with this, then this could possible give “others” enough guts to harm this nation, releasing secrets that should not be released.

I firmly believe what our government was doing is unconstitutional and I am thankful that it was uncovered for us to see. We need to do something about this. We are slipping into a socialistic and communistic nightmare.

      • I agree with ya, Knight. It’s a fine line, but to protect the Constitution and the people, a Republic needs whistleblowers, especially whistleblowers who are not trying to damage the country. Some say that he helped terrorists by revealing the extent of monitoring. I’m pretty sure he didn’t tell them anything they didn’t already know. It’s us who need to wake up.

Thank you you guys. Some good thoughts shared.
