    • The Afghan forces have experienced โ€œdifficulty finding recruits who are literate and do not have associations with criminal/insurgent activity,โ€ according to the audit.
โ€œOnly seven pilots are qualified to fly with night vision goggles, which is necessary for most counter-terrorism missions,โ€ SIGAR reported. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

These things did not exist during the time of Moe-ham-mad. As such they are forbidden. If they can’t figure it out that’s just too bad. Sounds like a built in excuse to have our guys farmed out to the moslems. At the end of the day they ALL want us dead.

  1. Gruntessa had some good skillet skills this morning. Plenty of energy for the outside work today.

    • barnslayer says:

That looks really good. My complements to the chef. What’s in it?

      • The best part was the chopped up, thick bacon pieces. But otherwise it was basic skillet hash: potatoes, peppers, onions, eggs, grated cheese. Maybe mushrooms – don’t remember. Thanks for the comment. I’ll pass that along. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks! I’m passing this info to Mrs. Barnslayer. She was impressed by Gruntessa’s handiwork as well.

  2. Look what Number Two Son got to shoot this week! Evil grin time!

We also found out that right-handed, left-eyed shooters like him are extremely rare. Makes it tough, because he had to adapt to using a left-hand trigger finger, but the advantage is that he can switch-hit fairly easily. Oh, and despite the weirdness of shooting a pistol right-handed-but-left-eyed, he earned NRA Distinguished Expert in pistol shooting this week. Good job, boy!

    • barnslayer says:

That looks like a hoot! My sympathies to your son. I am right handed, left eye dominant. For pistol… no problem. Rifle or bow still not a problem. Skeet… big problem.

      • Well, that explains why he hasn’t been too wild about shotgun. That’s interesting that you’re also the same hand-eye dominance. Maybe it’s not so rare after all.

        • barnslayer says:

It’s not that much of a problem in trap shooting. But when you have to track across like in skeet, it can be a real pain. I may switch to lefty but it’s not easy for older guys.

    • Knight4GFC says:

Good for him! And lucky! Oh, and just so you know, he is not the only left eye, right-handed shooter I know of. I have a younger uncle, who is also like this. ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Knight4GFC says:

Sorry! Correction! My younger uncle is the opposite. He is a right-eye left-handed shooter. ๐Ÿ™‚

          • Well, I would think that is the most rare combination of all. The right-hand, left-eye combo could be fairly common if you consider that a natural lefty might be encouraged to be right-handed by training in school, but that wouldn’t affect the dominant eye. Your uncle is the opposite. No one is pushed into being left-handed, so he must be truly right-eye dominant while being naturally left-eyed. That’s pretty cool. It means that some folks, like your uncle and Barn and my kid, must naturally use both sides of their brains more than most of us do. I wonder if that makes them naturally better at some things.

            • Knight4GFC says:

Very good point there Brother Grunt! Well I do know that my uncle is very dexterous. His dad was the same way. I know he could write with both hands… at the same time. Maybe Grandpa was where he got this trait.

    • I tend to be a little suspicious of this guy. I don’t know much about him, but he seems to be just doing an Ulsterman Report copycat thing. The gist is all believable enough in general, but he’s short on details that might lend credibility. The whole “they’re trying to bring down the country and destroy the dollar” thing just doesn’t cut it anymore without some other info to explain why exactly and what the end game is. He mentions “foreign” influence. Not good enough for me anymore. Which is it? China? Russia? Saudi Arabia?

      • solaratov says:

Those were my thoughts, too. On the one hand, it’s what we all expect/suspect will be done as part of dragging America down.
On the other, we’ve been hearing about this sort of thing for a long, long time; and it’s always turned out to be just someone’s conspiracy fantasy.

I believe that the “foreign influence” that he refers to is not so much another country as it is foreign money/power interests with no actual loyalty to any country – or even ideology – but to themselves as “The Elite” who are the only ones qualified to lead – or rule – the rest of us.

As far as details go…if he had any *real* details of something like this, I believe that he’d be communing with Michael Hastings.
