Is that Carbondale taken from up around mushroom rock.

  2. President “shaken” after receiving support from Boehner. May rethink whole thing. (parody)

  3. Pretty strange stuff. This administration really does believe the POTUS is a king.

And there’s evidence that it may all be monkey business after all:

Donald Sensing has had some really good analysis about Syria over the last few weeks.

  4. Situation Room Weirdness

You know the first thing I think when I see this WH photo of the latest Syria pow-wow? The IQ and competence level of the individuals in the room is exactly proportional to how far down the table you go. That officer in the far corner by the door is probably the smartest guy in the room. But as you get to the near end, you have some of the very thickest idiots in the whole country, ending with Uncle Joe, the Moron, and Susan Rice, who is too stupid and corrupt to push back when the only high-profile job she’s ever been given was to tell the most obvious and embarrassing lie ever told by a U.S. official. The guy at the near end of the table is a complete unknown, of course, because all his school records are sealed, but we all suspect he deserves this spot at the head of this table of imbeciles.

  5. Hey Freedom! Watch out for a big launch out at Wallops Friday night. You should be able to see it from your place.
The Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) spacecraft will launch from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport’s Pad 0B at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Va. First launch day attempt is Friday, Sept. 6. Backup launch opportunities occur Sept. 7-10. Launch is targeted for 11:27 p.m. EDT at the opening of a four-minute launch window. NASA Television launch coverage begins at 9:30 p.m.

OK Grunt – you’ve got some competition from an up-and-coming Hoosier! πŸ™‚

    • Cool story! Author says: “For a definition of Lie algebras, don’t ask me.” LOL.

You know, the only thing that depresses me about these stories is that these folks are putting all their hope for the kid’s future in academia. Why would you want to do that? Lots of people, like me, were in academia and hit an eye-opening moment where they realized it was just a waste of time, so they bailed. Lots of people. Being autistic, this kid may never get that moment, because he’s too busy cranking through the work and may not be wired to ask those questions. And nobody around him is ever going to prompt him to ask those questions. Do you think some professor is going to sit down with him and say: “Kid, have you realized yet that this is all bullshit? You need to go work for Apple.” Not gonna happen. And that’s a shame.

Agree wholeheartedly with your last paragraph. Someone like this will be shut up somewhere with a giant chalkboard and work like a trained monkey, I’m afraid.
