U.S. Media Continues to Make it their Job to Keep Us Stupid

This has been going on for a very long time.  But how much longer can they keep this up and think they’re fooling everybody?  Here’s today’s issue of Time around the world:20130916_time_0

As “Tyler Durden” of ZeroHedge points out, they think they can keep doing this forever.

While Miley Cyrus, Twerking, and X-Factor remain record-breakers on every social media platform, the following covers of Time Magazine’s four regional issues this week, perhaps more than anything else, highlight just how ‘in control’ the media is – and how important it is to keep the “exceptional” US public on message. Or off as the case may be.

For many more examples of Time’s campaign for American ignorance, go here.

UPDATE: This just in from Big Hairy News.  Time has acknowledged their misjudgment and issued a new American edition with this cover:6a00d83451af9f69e2019aff6e2fe5970b-500wi

The goal is to protect the oblamer agenda. Ignorance is bliss. Liberals should be ecstatic.

  2. HicksterA says:

    Hello?

    • barnslayer says:

      Hey Hickster, you made it!
Hey everybody, Hickster is a good friend from over at Weasel Zippers.

      • Sounds good, Barn. Any friend of yours is welcome, for sure. Just in case, though, I did a quick NSA background check before I approved Hickster’s comment. They showed you as clear of any criminal record, but I approved you anyway. Welcome, Hickster! 🙂

        • barnslayer says:

So now we’re expecting visitors to pass a test we couldn’t?

          • No, I was just hoping to find something I could use later to blackmail him into buying the beer. He was too clean for that, so we’ll have to find another way. 😉 I’ve seen some of the conversations over at WZ. They look pretty similar to ours, except maybe more intelligent. Are you sure Hickster isn’t too smart for us?

            • barnslayer says:

Oh, I’m sure he is. I promised him a less volatile venue for asking questions on religion. WZ can get kind of rough at times. Besides, the folks here are more knowledge than emotion.

              • Maybe. As long as you stay away from fishing arguments with GFC (he pulled in a nice ono the other day off the big island, BTW), and don’t even get us started with the emotional Glock vs. 1911 or .45ACP vs. 9mm stuff. 😀

Hey, I followed some of the Navy shooter stuff you guys were talking about over there today. Sounds like there’s a lot of skepticism that this AA guy was a Buddhist. If he was, he was a Buddhist with a serious anger-management problem, looks like.

              • barnslayer says:

Yeah, this murderer certainly doesn’t fit the profile of your garden variety Buddhist. He’s got at least one prior incident with a firearm. Still waiting on a couple of details to get settled. First is did he act alone or not? Second is what is the ethnicity of the victims? Too soon to know what to think without those filled in.

      • What A Hoot says:

        Pleased to meet you, Hickster!

  3. MRM says:

    Welcome Hickster!

I made some comments over here with some interesting links. You know, like Al Queda in Thailand. http://wtpotus.wordpress.com/2013/09/16/mass-murder-in-dc-where-guns-are-already-banned-open-thread/comment-page-1/#comment-122632

Does a Izlum get a virgin bonus for pulling off something of this level incognito as a Buddhist? I don’t comment over at WZ, any of this info flying around over there?

WHY did Aaron Alexis get a Security Clearance….????*&%$#@^)
    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2013/09/why_did_aaron_alexis_get_a_security_clearance.html

Well, I am not so sure I agree 100% with AT on this. It would be so much easier to digest that the clearance came from racial bias protocols as the AT article outlines instead of the armed forced being infiltrated with Izlum and someone on the inside made it happen. . . I know it is tacky and premature to be thinking Izlum terrorist because the guy had definite problems (or did he?). I also know it is not politically correct among the unpolitically correct to wonder and have one’s wonderment labeled ‘jumping the gun’. With the other recent mass shootings it was screamed by some about the connections to meds and they were completely ignored; might stigmatize the normal Joe taking meds and so hush hush hush. But then within twelve hours the naysayers of the past are ready, very quickly I might add, to point out all the mental issues and meds, meds, meds.. Was AA overlooked in background check or was he given clearance because of his background and mission accomplished?
