Man, I am bushed! And coming down with Pneumatic Plague, I think. . . stress’ll do that. The people who pay our paycheks squirrelled away funding before and during the sequester, so even though I’m “non-essential”, I won’t be furloughed unless this goes more than a week or two. Ppl on FB are compaining, but I only said that today was a day to Thank God you had a job to be furloughed from!

In other news, Happy New (Gov’t Fiscal) Year! FY13 is gone, FY14 just beginning!

Now, off for more tea. . . *cough* *cough*

    • Happy new FY14, Zoph! Sorry you have the lung crud. Hopefully you will get some rest, even if it takes a week of shutdown to get you there. I’m still working, too, but it will be complicated for a while, and paychecks fewer. Hang in there!

How cool is this? These guys stormed beaches in Europe and the Pacific under enemy fire.D’ya think some puny wooden barricades would stop the, from visiting the memorial they and their buddies earned with their blood?Guess again, boyo.

Anybody been over to see KD at MarketTicker? He is not a happy camper. If I’d let Mrs. T see it, it might’a peeled her makeup off. πŸ‘Ώ

Anyone ever seen dcclothesline blog. I’m not sure if they are Alex Jones type wacko’s but I just saw this from a post on FB. 😯

    • That’s pretty hard-core, all right. We’ve been pretty positive about most of the stuff from DC Clothesline so far, and it’s on our blogroll, but it’s true that they can push the envelope into epic irresponsibility sometimes, and this looks like one of those times.

    • I don’t know, but I’m a little suspicious of relying on this level of technology for keeping your gun safe. Maybe it’ll work fine, but since it doesn’t exist yet, I’m betting it will be a lot more expensive than they’re estimating by the time it hits market.

I’m staying away from biometric scanners. I’ve read recommendations to scan the same finger a few times cause you might not get a perfect scan in a hurry. Also… what if those fingers are bloody or in a bandage? The scanner needs a power source. Dead batteries could be an issue. Buy a key or combination safe. If it’s a bedside location, leave the thing open at night. Lock it up before you go to work.

I haven’t heard him weigh in on anything for over a decade. We’ll see just how conservative he really is.

He’s been sittin’ with George Puffilupigus every Sunday for about that long. Unless he was talking about baseball I haven’t listened to him forever.
