    That’s pretty. . . Wish I was there. .. *sigh*

  2. Obama Disses Netanyahu (Again).
WASHINGTON (BHN) – Israel leader Benjamin Netanyahu visited the White House Monday to discuss President Obama’s sudden unconditional acceptance of Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

The meeting caps nearly five years of thinly-veiled dislike and mistrust by the Obama administration for Israel and its leadership. In prior White House visits Netanyahu has been subject to a variety of humiliations, including having to use a back door by the garbage cans and sitting next to First Lady Michelle as she ate barbecue spareribs.

Israelis back home were reportedly outraged at what they perceived to be a lack of respect by President Obama’s wearing a turban, no pants, and using a palm buzzer during this latest meeting. White House spokesman Jay Carney called the perceptions “ridiculous.”

  3. House Committee: Obama selectively shut down most popular memorials. No kidding. I would never have thunk him capable of that. 🙄

By the way, one of my favorite places to be is sitting on the beach on a day like the one in the picture. There are a few places around here in my neck of the woods. Last year, Hubby, DD and I were vacationing at the Outer Banks and we got to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean. Amazing. We were the only people on the beach so it was extra special.

    • I know what you mean about the OBX. Out on those sand islands it’s like you’re on the edge of the world.

Hey, Freedom. In ref to your comment you just made on the Oct 2 OT about feeling like “something big” was about to happen. I’ve been feeling that, too. Moreso than the usual apprehension about everything for the last 2 years or so. This shutdown shouldn’t be special (any more special than the last 17), but I sense something different with this. The shutdown seemed a little too scripted – too certain. The administration, despite their rhetoric, was a little too comfortable with this. And distracted – like something else is going on in the shadows that’s taking all their attention while we are distracted by the spectacle. I’m feeling more “used” than usual. I have a weird feeling that this one may not be so temporary. But, then, I’m always wrong, so there’s that to consider… 😉

      • freedom1781 says:

You’re right about there being something different this time. Think about this…you have this shutdown; the trucker protest, which could have serious unforeseen consequences; the threatening U.S. default expected on Oct. 17 (according to Jack Lew); Obama just signaled to the stock market that “this time it’s different” regarding the shutdown (and lo & behold, the stock market reacted and is down); the trainwreck that is Obamacare; James Clapper saying that because of the shutdown our national security is threatened… We may soon find out why Big Sis ordered all that ammo… Just sayin’.

Treasury: This is really, seriously the end of the line with the “extraordinary measures”

Did US intel services furlough 72% of their civilian workforce?

      • zmalfoy says:

Yes, this is different. With all the other threatened shutdowns in the past howevermany years, there was always the assumption from the higher-ups that some “miracle” would happen and all would be well. This time, however, there was the assumption that the shut-down would happen. Yes, I believe this has all been scripted and planned for–not that I disagree with it, mind, or rather, I do not disagree with the Ted Cruz side of it. . . but the push on the part of Reid and his ilk. . . they wanted this. Everything they say and do is telegraphing that fact.

And yes, things seem to be approaching some sort of *point*. This, the Truckers thing, all the rest that Freedom mentioned. . . But I’ll also toss in the WWII Vets at their memorial yesterday, and the Bikers, and the complete breakdown of the AHCA websites. . .

Maybe this is leftover rebound from the End of FY mess, maybe in part because I spent most of yesterday resting in the sutumn breezes, having called in sick to tend to my fever and cough. . . and maybe, it has something to do with the reduction in ambient noise of my workplace. . .

But I am feeling unusually calm, suffused with the sorta Buddhist sense that Everything is Exactly as it Should Be. Or, to use my own tradition, “All is well, all is well, and all manner of things shall be well. . .”

The calm before the storm? Almost certainly– I keep expecting to see heavy, snow laden blizzard-clouds when I look out the window (it’s that sort of silence and calm, yes). . . and am suprised to see the sun. But. . . It’s like Hamlet, right? All these players, playing out to their own script, unaware that there is an even larger play and script that they are part of. You all know I’ve had this sense for a long time, now, that there is a something afoot much larger than the powers of this world dare suspect.

I was reminded of this thought when we were being thrown into an ill-concieved March to War with Syria and, seemingly on instict, the great mass of Americas from every political persuasion cried out “No!”, and we all got together and prayed and fasted and prayed some more . . . and, almost miraculously, John Kerry accidentally said something he wasn’t supposed to say– something the administration at first said was a mistake and should be ignored, and all of a sudden! Peace talks! Negotiations! Yes, this was a humiliating episode for the US, but certainly humiliation and loss of status is still better than what we were staring in the face? We still would have had the humiliation and loss of status, and plenty of worse besides.

What was the net result of that episode? Well, asde from a “Strange-New-Respect” (but not really affection, yet) for Putin. . . it was the sense that, for some merciful reason we cannot comprehend, God has not yet abandoned us to our own folly. We, terrified of what we knew would happen, criend out in desperation for a miracle– and were granted it. By John Kerry pulling a Biden, no less.

Which isn’t to say there isn’t turbulance and unpleasantness yet ahead of us. I’m sure there is, for I’m sure our chastisement has not yet been completed. But, what I’m saying is. . . that I am very sure, now, that those who think themselves the puppet-masters, are in fact the greatest puppets of all. They have written these scripts thinking themselves kings, but they are in fact pawns to a Greater King. They have forgotten the fates of the rods used to chastise Israel (it never ends well for them).

Yes!!! I’ve felt the same way for a loooongg time too. It is as if this is all supposed to happen. I feel calm, too. God’s plan is playing out in front of our eyes. Yes, I do believe this with all my heart.

  5. It would be about friggin’ time. Apple ousted Steve Jobs and lost decades of opportunity. Microsoft failed to oust that idiot Gates a long time ago and made their humiliating failure permanent.

US Capitol in lockdown, reports of shots fired

    better report:
Shots fired at U.S. Capitol; building on lockdown

      sonuva. . .

    • texan59 says:

This is horrible. My first thought, while probably imprudent was of a false-flag kind of deal. References will be out about an unhinged tea party folk, or, more calls for gun control. I just don’t believe anything is what it seems anymore up there with this bunch of marxists in power. 👿

    • freedom1781 says:

According to Fox News the shots happened during a car chase with police. Right now it doesn’t look like it was directed at the Capitol.

    • freedom1781 says:

Okay…now Fox News just put this upon it its website, which states something different than what was reported on the radio….

      • I’m trying to get this story straight. A woman with a 1-year-old baby in the car “tries to run down” a SS agent at the White Hut. Possibly rams a barrier. Then gets chased by capitol cops until she gets out of the car and is shot to death. The cops are “heroes.” But no word on whether she was armed, but she almost certainly was not. Are they serious? Is this real? They couldn’t tackle a woman with a baby? Had to shoot her? And they’re “heroes?” What am I missing?

        • Harvey says:

          They’re racist.

        • Harvey says:

More seriously, if you live in a prolonged siege mentality, responding with lethal force first and asking questions later makes sense. This is different than authoritarian thugs abusing the populace, but it is very dangerous for citizens just the same.

          • Seems kinda shocking, to me, offhand. And it’s even more surprising that the press didn’t ask any or imply questions in the reports. Made it seem open and shut. Routine. “Oh, it’s just another woman with a baby trying to kill a secret service agent on the White Hut steps. Got her pretty fast this time. Those guys are getting good!” But, seriously, it’s still early, so maybe they’ll get some better reporting soon.

Need health care coverage? Just dial 1-800-F**KYO to reach Obamacare’s national hotline

    No joke.

    1-800-3(F) 8(U) 2(C) 5(K) 9(Y) 6(O).

That’s 1-800-FUCKYO. Sadly, the Obama administration failed to swap the useless 1 for a more functional 8 to complete the heartfelt message, perhaps in consolation to former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel’s tragically shortened middle finger.

  10. What A Hoot says:

Anybody else find the “bikers” that mobbed an SUV in New York sort of like, not real “bikers”? I mean, the footage of them on the highway and wiping out and swerving like they don’t know how to ride the “bikes”, all of which look brand new and are more like street-legal mopeds and certainly not “hogs” of authentic bikers. Surely the news reporters can see they are not the bikers they are trying to portray them as?? Go watch the videos and newsreports and compare these “bikers” to bikers of the likes that recently went to DC; see what I mean??????What’s going on, really?

There are more vids and articles out there. I can’t find the one our news showed today of some of the ‘bikers’ wiping out. Note the two who are banging down the SUV. Do I smell a SEIU event gone wild? I mean, were they just supposed to be a nuisance to make ‘bikers’ look bad to reinforce those awesome men and women that rode on Washington are just thugs and violent and mobs to be feared? Something just isn’t right about this event and how it is being reported. It is as if they are sticking to an original script and not really mentioning the extent of it and/or how it veered way off talking-point course. Ok. I will consider taking off the tinnie…….

    • zmalfoy says:

I didn’t get a chance to see any of the vids until just now, and you have a point. They look like a gang that went and bought a bunch of “Crotch rockets”, and only know the basic mechanics of riding. That one who got rear ended by the suv– what the hell was he doing, on a city road, with his hand off the clutch, turning around to talk. . . if his right hand touched the brake, he could have stalled out. As it was, he had no awareness of his surroundings– or it was all very deliberate.
Second, it’s clear they don’t know how to ride in a group. This is too common, these days, but you look at their positioning on the road, especially around the SUV. . . the only two options here are they were all flaming idiots, or this was planned . . .

  11. What A Hoot says:

So,, do you find this true about the cash that passes through your hands?

    • I do, but I think this is a misunderstanding. The Series 2009 mark on the bills refers (I think) to the “big head” design, which is the latest redesign for the bills. They’ve just done a redesign for the $100s, but that hasn’t been released, and that will be a 2013 series. So, the date isn’t the printing, just the design “date.” That’s my guess anyway. I think this is a red herring.

Abortion Barbie IS running for guv down here. This should be interesting. AG Abbott already has about $25M in his war chest. The libtards are gonna have to be real creative to steal this one, although I can guarantee she will be getting scads of cash from out of state. 👿
