“Monday, the Columbus Day holiday, according to the Daily Treasury Statement released today, marked the 150th straight day that the Treasury has said the debt subject to limit was stuck at $16,699,396,000,000”.

What most people don’t realize, is that they just made Obama god. He is omnipotent in Washington… at least that’s what he feels. Our fight just became a bit harder to wage. Now the end result will be uglier than what it would have been had those cowards stood their ground.

    • This is why I personally believe that it is going to take a strong Faith to bring US back together to fight. If you don’t have a foundation to stand on you’re gonna buckle in the end. This little fellowship should be an important one. Strength is always attracting especially when you are immovable. Just look at what one soul can do even when faced with being runned down by a tank or a fire. Standing firm is the only way. When you begin to negotiate with the enemy you’ve already lost by giving that much to your opponent. It may not affect you immediately but will certainly be there to haunt the one who’s next in line. You have to understand evil to know how to do battle with it!

I don’t get it. Did Boner (and the rest of the Repubs) just give Oblumma congressional power of the finances to pass whatever he wanted to “afford” whatever he wanted? Why would that checks and balances be given away? Why would Congress DO that? It’s NOT even constitutional! Am I missing something or have I completely mis-read something?

Dems Push to Take Up Amnesty, Say Boehner Will Cave
    I’d say that’s a pretty safe bet

  6. Coyote says:

    WHEN does this asshattery end?
When do AMERICANS wake up and FORCE politicians to be constitutional or pay the consequences?

  7. Coyote says:

I don’t think voting the next election is going to get us out of this.

Did anyone, besides me, wonder how they got all those signs printed and distributed far and wide, including to all the national parks and cemeteries overseas only eight to ten hours after the government shut down? Take a look at this from someone who wanted to remain anonymous.

I have worked in the government on and off for 40 years. During that time I became quite familiar with requisitions, bidding, awarding contracts etc. It is a time consuming process with bean-counters and pencil-necked bureaucrats every step of the way. The simplest request takes months, not days or hours.

In less than 8 hours of the shutdown, miraculously, professionally printed 3X4 foot signs appeared all over the country in the tens of thousands saying, “this [park , facility , etc. with custom logos] closed due to government shutdown.” There has not been a government shutdown in 17 years. These signs were designed, specifications were determined, signs were then requisitioned, bids were posted and vetted, government contracts were awarded. The materials were then ordered and the signs manufactured then distributed U.S. Mail or freight companies.

This shutdown was orchestrated and planned well in advance at least 6-8 months ago. Millions of tax dollars were appropriated and spent in this process. There is a paper trail a mile long leading directly to the White House.

—source? I’m still looking. This was just emailed to me. Thought it to be VERY interesting.

My first thought when I saw those signs was, “I wonder when they had those printed up?”

I just read where McConnell said that the Reps knew the shutdown was coming back in July…so it’s reasonable to assume that the regime knew at the same time, set a strategy and prepared to inflict the pain on the American people.

[Funny that both sides knew a shutdown was coming that long ago….and nobody did anything to avert it. Bastards!]
