  1. See, only with American leftists does this actually make sense.

Hope your Thanksgiving table conversation was as joyful and liberal-free as ours was. 🙂

  2. And I’d knock at the front door while my 7 sons go in the back and take care of the intruders MANually! 🙂

  3. Interesting enough that this mornings picture completely voids this mornings “Verse of the day”. Ironic for the Season!!!

    • I’ve got to show that to Gruntessa. Then, maybe she’ll stop giving me such a hard time about that one scooter ride in Mexico (with her on the back) when I lunged a little too close to the curb and scattered a bunch of screaming schoolgirls in uniform and a couple of nuns. That was kinda uncool, but I was still trying to get used to the throttle. At least I never ended up *on* the sidewalk. 😳

  4. Here’s a couple good pics, courtesy of PistolPete.

  5. Grunt-approved Christmas gifts are normally pretty risky, and this one is no exception, but I really like this book from one of my favorite authors. Anthony Esolen is wickedly funny, yet devoutly wonderful.

I just had my first Maple Bacon Doughnut over the weekend. It was amazing. 🙂

  7. Does the Vatican have a chronic problem with their English translators purposely “liberalizing” their official statements when they translate them? It looks that way.

  8. I was walking through the Indianapolis airport yesterday, and I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a big art display that prominently featured 2 of these Cuban bills:

Seeing the face of that asshole almost gave me a heart attack. The artwork was by some Brazilian chick. What in hell is there about American airports that restricts them from displaying anything but the most subversive, unAmerican, offensive art possible? Criminy, I thought Denver was bad. WTF?

What Is The Actual Risk for Pacific Coast Residents from Fukushima Radiation?

“[The Odds of] Longer Term Chronic Effects, Cancer Or Genetic Effects … Cannot Be Said To Be Zero”

“It is very difficult to obtain accurate information on the dangers from Fukushima radiation to residents of the West Coast of North America and Hawaii.

On the one hand, there is fear-mongering and “we’re all going to die” type hysteria.

On the one hand, there is a tendency for governments to cover up the truth to avoid panic and deflect blame for bad policy. Japan is poised to pass a bill which would outlaw most reporting on Fukushima. And the U.S. government is not even monitoring radiation levels in the waters off the U.S. coast…” Read more here: http://fukushimaupdate.com/what-is-the-actual-risk-for-pacific-coast-residents-from-fukushima-radiation/

  11. Anybody got a few grand to spare? This one is certainly worth the investment.
