A Holiday Classic – 5 Years Running! -from Earl of Taint Productions
This is the one where Clark takes other people’s money and gives everyone really crappy “gifts” before bugging out on a $4 million, taxpayer-funded Hawaiian vacation where he plays golf and eats sno-cones for 17 days.

Not a big favorite at our house but we’re forced to watch it like everyone else.

Mele Kalikimaka to all!

  1. More along the lines of today’s theme: Barack’s vacation.

Here’s another one from WNB. Not bad.

Got this one from iOTW: The guy’s hilarious.

  2. North Korea Serious This Time.
PYONGYANG, DPRK (WNB) – North Korea’s National Defense Commission has warned that it is on the verge of attacking South Korea “without warning.” The ominous threat was sent via fax to a Kinkos in Seoul.

“Originally we thought Kim (Jong-Un) was just threatening to blow up the Kinkos, but now we’re thinking he may be talking about the whole country,” said S. Korean General Miso Hoeni.

The move came as conservative groups and North Korean defectors in the South held rallies against the Kim Jong-Un regime.

South Korea responded to the threat by placing Kim on a Hickory Farms mailing list.

  3. Speaking of Christmas, I hope Gruntessa isn’t expecting one of these. Looks expensive!

  4. I like the latin moto on this Navy patch: “Speed Kills.”

Sorry Zoph and Sol. I’ll try to find a cool Army patch next time. 😉

  6. Isaiah Isaiah 6:2 – Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.6:2 – Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

    h1 Kings 6:27

And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house

    What???

    Exodus 37:9
And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.

    Exodus 25:20
And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

    • That’s just wrong. Sure, they don’t always appear with wings, but visionaries see them almost always with wings. Plus my wife must have wings, ’cause she really gets around and gets a lot done, and I know she’s an angel. 🙂

I ain’t read the article yet, just the link-text. . . an certainly, as non-corporeal, “celestial wavelengths of Divine Intent”, clunky things like wings are rather unnecessary. And, when taking human form (like when they visited Abraham and Sarah, among other times) they don’t seem to have wings. . . but in visions, when they have not taken corporeal form, but are, hmm, “simplified” in form ,such that a human mind can have some sort of comprehension of them. . . they pretty much always have something like wings. . . This is pretty universal through time and culture. . .guess I’ll have to go read the article now and see how he figures this . . .

    • zmalfoy says:

Okay, read it. . . He may call himself an angelologist, but. . . I challenge this. Of course angels generally don’t look like cherubs (which are really putti)– cuz real cherubim are, by human standards, pretty “monstrous” (not evil, though, Just . . . very intimidating) but “Shards of light” isn’t always more accurate. Sometimes, with some angels, yeah . . . but not always, not with all of them . . . I mean, you’re dealing with limited human perceptions encountering and trying to make sense of an other dimensional being. . . each of which is a unique intelligence interacting with a unique human mind. . . it’s why every recorded encounter is different. All have similarities, yes, but to say “Oh, no, it’s this way, it’s that way . . .” . . . well, that’s foolish. That’s trying to reduce a 5+ demsional being to 3 dimensions, and calling it a full understanding . . . stupid. . .

      • I kinda challenge his claim, too, but you never know with interviews. He probably ranted for hours and the writer grabbed one statement that sounded printable. So, yeah, it’s gonna be simplified. At least, that’s often the way these interviews seem to me.
