    Dayum!

I don’t think it’s ever been this bold since I’ve been in Missouri.

Ohayo Minna! I’ve been on vacation the past two weeks (at home), but I ended up staying offline a lot, too. Got a lot of cleaning done, have a funtioning dishwasher for the first time in 3 years (I’ve been saving gift cards and finally used them all!). . . didn’t get much writing done, but getting the cleaning that I got done, done, was worth it. I even had guests at my house and wasn’t horribly embarrassed– just moderately so!

But it’s back to reality today, so I’m catching up on everything. I hope you all had a Blessed Christmas, New Years, Yule, etc. . .

Grunt, you may find this mildly amusing: So, New Years Day Morning, I was leaving early for the early Mass, like a good girl, and as I walk out the door I hear this horribly racket above me. I look up into the highest branches of Haldebarad (the oak tree you helped me name), and there’s two corvids, quorking and chattering. I look up, make distant eye contact, and they quiet with twin “harrumphs”, shrug their wings, and then fly away. So, Happy New Year from Hugin and Mugin! πŸ˜›

    • Good for you, Zoph! Getting caught up is worth burning a vacation sometimes, for sure. Happy new year to yas! Funny stuff about the ravens! Although, I’m not sure that’s such a good sign getting a new year greeting from 2 ravens first thing in the morning on the 1st. πŸ˜‰ At least they didn’t say anything bad (“Nevermoooore!”). Those ravens can mimic words now and then, and it can be pretty creepy! They certainly weren’t from your house of Slitherin. Musta been Ravenclaw. πŸ™‚

Utah Gun Maker Turns Down $15M Deal With Pakistan
A Utah-based gun manufacturer has turned down a $15 million deal to supply Pakistan with precision rifles, citing concerns they could eventually be used against U.S. troops.

Mike Davis, sales manager at Desert Tech, said the company was on a short list for a contract with Pakistan, but spurned the opportunity because of unrest in Pakistan and ethical concerns

Thanks for observing Epiphany with this gorgeous tapestry – it looks like Burne-Jones, but I thought I was already familiar with his work. Dunno how I missed this one.

Grunt, shoot me an email if you don’t mind. There’s no ‘contact’ on the WP site..couple of questions on my end.

      Solution:
Tell her that the price has skyrocketed since you’ve purchased them…

Tell her the truth. I find that this method is better.
Lies are so much trouble to remember.

      • Tell Gruntessa the truth??? 😯

I was gonna post a clip from True Lies here where Arnold is on Sodium Pentathol and his wife starts asking him questions he would normally lie about. “Are we gonna die, Harry?” Yuuuup! “Have you ever killed anyone?” Yaah, but dey were all baaaad.

But instead, I found this clip for the movie on Peruvian Spanish language TV. I think it’s funnier. Wait… wrong clip. Can’t get it to play dammit!
