    • That’s a pretty dang amazing story. I think she’s got Ian Fleming’s wartime exploits beat by a 100 miles. I like the fact that she remained faithful to her husband and worked with him during the underground resistance period in the south of France and Pyrenees.

“This was made clear from the start. When she dropped into the Auvergne, her parachute snagged on a tree. The agent who met her simpered that he hoped all trees could bear such beautiful fruit. ‘Don’t give me that French s**t,’ she snapped back.”

Also, the CME from the X1 flare yesterday should hit sometime tomorrow. I don’t expect it’ll be of much significance, unless you’re an astronaut. Or, maybe a pilot, if they need to re-route polar flights.

There shouldn’t be much in the way of surface effects, save for those who have severe electromagnetic sensitivity, in which case FYI: Headaches, heart attacks, seizures, strokes, and more have been associated by some with significant space weather events. Flaring is high, strong space weather conditions incoming, polar radiation storm (energetic particles), coronal hole magnetic force & alfven waves will begin to affect earth today as well. (headaches are the most common, that and small moments of vertigo. The other things increase, but I think you’d have to be lined up for a stroke, heart attack, etc., anyway. . . I’m sensitive enough to get headaches and sometimes vertigo, but the rest is less likely for the average, healthy person.)

“WASHINGTON – As Al Qaeda-aligned insurgents make unprecedented post-war gains in Iraq, U.S. military officials and others in the Obama administration are keeping their distance — despite mounting calls to ratchet up involvement amid fears the country is teetering on the brink of civil war.”

This not quite the “Nuke ‘Em” essay that it looks like at first. Rather, it discusses some of the reality of what might happen among the nuclear powers after an Iranian strike against Tel Aviv. Interesting stuff. By Matt Bracken.

The global intelligencia scoff at this simplistic approach. It appears we have exhausted all other options short of surrender/submission… which equates to suicide. If given the choice I wonder if the “experts” could bring themselves to make the choice….. us or them?

If he was heading to Washington, he didn’t make it very far. We Hoosiers are always getting into trouble. Dude, how hard is it to keep it at 10-over on the interstate when you have a car full of bombs? He really had to go 85mph? Not a bright one.

“In response, the pro-homosexual Huffington Post attacked the book as “potentially dangerous” because it suggests children don’t have to engage in dangerous homosexual conduct, and that parents can influence how their children turn out. The publication also claimed that Amazon had “pulled” the book in response to homosexual criticism.”

“Even as top officials in the communist regime ruling over mainland China were spewing increasingly militaristic anti-American rhetoric — not to mention the Beijing-based dictatorship’s massive espionage operations against the United States — the Obama administration reportedly waived laws prohibiting certain Chinese-made parts on U.S. weapons systems. Experts say the apparently unprecedented move represents a major national-security risk and is part of a troubling trend.”

Nothing will be impossible for you.'”

Christmas Miracles Continue to Confound and Delight

    • zmalfoy says:

      awesome– another great read!

    • Very cool!

Related: We had another minor miracle at the little Marian shrine out in the garden over Christmas. On Christmas Eve, I set out about 7 or 8 white flower blossoms next to Our Lady’s little house. Two days later, I went out to set out some new blossoms and all but one of the original ones were flat and brown and frozen from the temps in the teens, as they always are. The fresh blossoms only last a few hours at most. But there was a single blossom that was fresh and white and perfect after 2 days. Not really possible. Made me think the attention was appreciated.

Beautiful. Sometimes it’s the tiny miracles that spurs you onward, giving you life to keep marching on. But if one is self consumed in the hardships of this life, wishing for one big miracle to take you out of your “misery”, you may end up missing the small miracles that happen right in front of you.

Among their questions are why seven Afghan commandos on the flight suddenly were replaced just before takeoff. The seven individuals, who also died in the attack, are not listed in the flight manifest. This has caused some of the family members to speculate that they may have been suicide bombers or may have tipped off the Taliban.

    Inside job?

When asked if they believed the attack possibly was an inside job, several family members responded in the affirmative.”
