  1. Your morning Jeanine. Hat tip: iOTW.

Like the “traffic circle” halfway up.

  3. I gotta admit, this Loretta Fuddy case is kinda loopy. This is the Hawaiian state official who authenticated the Obama birth cert and was the sole death in a recent plane crash. It is strange that the NTSB didn’t investigate this thoroughly.

Is this the US Marshall who survived the crash?

  4. Marie Claire mag smacking down Candace Cameron Bure over her marriage comments. Causing a ruckus on Twitter. Hat tip: StrandedInSonoma.

This link includes an amazing HuffPo interview with Candace that really should be seen. She’s a very articulate young woman.

She comes from a good family. Her brother Kirk Cameron is an outspoken Christian actor. He stared in “Fireproof” which is one of Alex Kendrick’s films and I highly recommend for the entire family. “Facing the Giants” is another Kendricks film (my favorite). There’s about eight. All have strong Christian values as the theme. Thumbs up to Candice for standing up and being counted.

“In a statement published on a Tea Party website, Davis said nullification was not “an available remedy” and then went on to misinterpret Article VI’s so-called “Supremacy Clause” and perpetuate the myth of unquestionable judicial authority. Read my take on those egregious errors here.

Island Packet quotes Davis’s denial of a state’s power to nullify ObamaCare:

“The conversation really has gotten off the rails a little bit,” Davis said Wednesday, after holding three public hearings across the state that drew hundreds. “Everybody talks about nullification. This isn’t nullification. We can’t nullify.”

    Can’t nullify? States must nullify!

As James Madison wrote in the Virginia Resolution of 1798:

In case of a deliberate, palpable, and dangerous exercise of other powers, not granted by the said compact, the states who are parties thereto, have the right, and are in duty bound, to interpose for arresting the progress of the evil, and for maintaining within their respective limits, the authorities, rights and liberties appertaining to them.

So, someone should tell Senator Davis that not only can South Carolina nullify ObamaCare, but it is duty bound to do so…”

“It has been said that a man can be judged by the quality of the friends he keeps. Perhaps, in the same vein, a film can be judged by its audience. This thought occurred to me as I stood in line for the latest Mark Wahlberg flick, Lone Survivor. I was surrounded by men with white beards and weathered faces, wearing earth-tone clothes and combat boots. I felt that if I’d called out “Hooyah!” the whole line just might “Hooyah!” back. It dawned on me then that I hoped that Lone Survivor would be what its audience promised — a solid military flick that would arouse vague feelings of patriotism and brotherhood. I am happy to say that the film surpassed the promise of the company it kept.

Lone Survivor, based on the autobiographical book of the same title by former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, portrays the events of “Operation Red Wings” — the failed Afghanistan SEAL mission to kill a regional Bin Laden ally named Ahmad Shah.”

“Morally, the US has lost her way and we already see crime spiralling out of control. From teens reveling in the knock out game, to hackers stealing millions of credit card identities… from legalizing pot to abortion. Americans are vainly searching for something or someone to believe in again. God is right there for them, but many, many can’t seem to call His name anymore.”

INCONTROVERTIBLE. The Truth is staring at us dead in our face.

BTW, as far as I see it, we will need a Divine intervention to avoid what I see as inevitable… the S WILL H T F.

Time magazine, for example, is facing worldwide ridicule for blaming the recent “polar vortex” that brought record cold temperatures across America on man-made “global warming” — after having linked the exact same phenomenon to alleged “global cooling” in 1974. In an article headlined “Another Ice Age?” appearing almost four decades ago, Time said “scientists” had found evidence of “global cooling” in an expansion of the “circumpolar vortex…” – Global Warming Alarmists, Looking Ridiculous, Double Down

Moslems use their own children as suicide bombers, marry 9 year old girls, and blow up the mosques of rival sects….. Yup. That’ll work. Roger Ailes May be the reason FOX News cares so much about fair and balanced. Howsabout concentrating on the truth?

“WND has reported extensively on a new effort by the Obama administration to use mental-health diagnoses to deprive people of their Second Amendment rights.

It’s already being applied to military veterans. Government evaluators simply are determining that veterans should not be allowed to have weapons and reporting their names to the FBI’s banned list. Just last week, Obama issued several executive orders that would make it easier for medical diagnoses and other evaluations of citizens to be reported to the FBI.”

The gun was released on Jan. 6, and is named in tribute to Nirbhaya, the pseudonym of the 23-year-old victim of a 2012 brutal gang rape in Delhi, the paper reported.”

Now I wonder what our sister, Shalini thinks about this?

    • barnslayer says:

Not impressed. It’s only 95 grams lighter than a Glock 19 and it’s .32 caliber makes it less powerful. Might as well go with the Glock 42 (.380) at 350 grams. Or even a PPK/s heavier but more sleek. Any of these is much less expensive as well. Keep in mind…. When you choose light weight you give up resistance to recoil.

      • Not to mention the severe cost penalty of all the titanium in that thing. That’s got to be pricey.

        • barnslayer says:

I think the article said $2000! That’s nuts!!! Also… I’ve seen titanium scratched, gouged and stripped threads on my Seiko diver. (I would have to replace the case to fix it). Threaded or high wear areas would need steel or other inserts.

          • Totally agree. On the other hand, I applaud the initiative of the Indian authorities to promote a truly effective means of self defense for women. At least this is not a joke, like the electric zapping bra thingy. 🙄
