    Of course it is. /s/

    • She’ll say anything that get’s her butt back in the White Hut. I just scanned this art off an old Limbaugh Letter from the 90s before I threw it away. The Queen of Diamonds will be with us for a while, unfortunately.

So, Grunt, get this. . .

Last night, I had this happy dream, where I was sitting in at a meeting at a publishing house as a group of decision makers was discussing the book I’m writing. They seemed very excited about it, and someone in the group said “We’ll definitely want a lot of promotional space.” I explained to someone sitting next to me that this meant that they were going to “Promote-the-hell” out of my book. Then one of the publishing lady-folk said “This is going to be one of our top sellers!”

    End of Dream.

Guess who’s feast day it is today? (totally forgot myself until I saw it on facebook this morning, lol)

Some organization that supports women suffering/ recovering from domestic violence and abuse should protest this. That sort of database is a stalkers dream come true . . .

      • Or maybe a private drone strike against that publisher’s HQ. If OBlowMe can do it, why can’t ordinary citizens?

      • freedom1781 says:

I was shocked at first when I read that article, but now I’m really angry and disgusted. I had never heard of Civitas Media before. I think exposing this early may prevent them from actually building the database. Don’t know. They need to realize that karma’s a bitch…

  4. Coulter doesn’t even touch on one of the more bizarre aspects of the Wendy story: her obsessive and fruitless pursuit, over decades, of a “mental anguish” lawsuit against a Dallas newspaper for simply stating inconvenient facts about her earlier candidacy. She’s got the same thin skin as Uncle Barry.

“‘We are studying this attack very closely, and intend to pursue Mr. Newberry with due vigor,’ Watson said in a phone interview. ‘Costa Rica has long been staining international waters with shark blood, and this appears to be an escalation we did not anticipate.’

Watson also said Newberry should ‘take on someone his own size’ and issued an international bounty on the head of the ‘Jersey shark murderer.'”

CNN lays off 40, calls it ‘expanding the definition of news’

Heh. What a load of PR spin bullshit and they’re really good at it. I like this one:

A spokesman for the Richland County Sheriff’s Department refused to identify who was participating in the exercise or why it was being carried out. The department did, however, issue a press release, warning that the war games could get loud. “Citizens may see military and departmental vehicles traveling in and around rural and metropolitan areas and may hear ordnance being set off or fired which will be simulated/blanks and controlled by trained personnel,” it declared. These men, these warriors, are elite for a reason. They are capable of doing things very few can. That’s the way we want and need them to be.”

  16. zmalfoy says:

Remember when I was so sick at the beginning of October? No? Well, I was so sick, all the blood vessels around my eyes burst, making me look possessed by a demon, and I was getting an “Abs” workout every day. Went to the doc, but the coughing didn’t happen much (typical), so he wasn’t able to diagnose me, save for giving me a Z pack because it had been going on for more than a week.

Since then I was in a conversation with a few nurses, and one of them wondered if maybe I’d gotten “Adult Pertussis”. Whooping Cough, yanno. Having read the article below, I’m thinking I did. There was an outbreak around here this year, and all the symptoms fit. Including the #$%$%^# still hacking part. (Not nearly as often, thank God, but still . . .)

    • Sure sounds like it. That’s pretty awful. I don’t usually mess with flu vaccines, but that’s something I wouldn’t mind being inoculated against. Can you even get the vaccine as an adult?

      • zmalfoy says:

Actually, yeah. We’re supposed to be getting boosters as adults, because apparently, vaccines wear off. But few people knew this, because the herd immunity has been so strong — until recently.

I also don’t do the flu vaccines, because the women in my family react very, very badly to them– worse than actually getting the flu itself.

Thing, too, now that we’re hitting these severe cold snaps. . . ever since radiation treatment ~10 years ago, I’ve had cold-air triggered asthma. Generally wasn’t a big deal, other than embarrassing. But this winter, holy crap!

I really need to find a good primary care doc, so I can get this sh*t taken care of. [The reason I don’t have one right now is it’s very hard to find a doc who will actually listen to me, and not dismiss anything I have to say. I swear, too many see that I’m a “big girl”, decide that I must be stupid and lazy, and so blame everything on “Well, that’s because you’re overweight.” . . . I’m pretty sure the size of my @$$ has nothing to do with how I caught f#^%ing Whooping Cough ferpetessake. . .]

    • Good article. I took flak for having four kids, so I can only imagine what people go through who have more.

      • My dad always cautioned me about questioning other people’s decisions. Even if they’re making big mistakes, it may very well be impossible to stop them. Sometimes people need to see for themselves. Eventually, I realized that he was right. You need to have a very critical reason to stop someone and tell them they’re doing it wrong. God, himself, allows you to make your own mistakes and helps you deal with the consequences. Why shouldn’t we do the same? So, being aware of this form of unintuitive charity, why in the world would someone feel obligated to browbeat a parent for the number of children they have? Mistake or no mistake, you have nothing productive to say about it. At all. And if you’re wrong in your criticism, you’re doing a grave harm. It doesn’t make any sense. People are strange.

There is a demo planned in Paris on Sunday 26 Januay. It is called “Day of Anger”

It could be huge, if the government does not forbid it.
The claim is :”Hollande, get lost and move out !”
It is supposed to merge all different angers against this government.

      Keep us posted!

    • solaratov says:

So…what happens if the government tells half a million people, “You can’t have a demonstration?” Does everybody listen and stay home – or do they just say “Eff you!” to the government.
And, if they have the demonstration against govt. orders, does the govt. usually “act forcefully” to break it up?
From what little I’ve seen of European demonstrations in general is that the govt. seems to just let things run their course…unless the destruction gets too outrageous.
