I hadn’t known that Kristensen went to Gonzaga High School. That’s the brother school to the high school I went to. Turn out I know people who knew him.

So we’re expected to receive about 5-9 inches of gorebull warming today. It’s Snowpocalypse 2.0 with team coverage of all the local news people, standing beside roads and bridges, counting snowflakes, reporting on dumbass drivers and the lack of milk, bread and bottled water at the grocery stores. All this “breaking news” is going to drive me crazy today. πŸ™„

Hey! I know what could keep you WARM tonight! Just watch bHo’s SOTU! πŸ˜€

    • freedom1781 says:

OH, H311 NO!!! You couldn’t pay me enough to listen to the State of the Coup (as Rush likes to call it.)

    • For the first time, ever, I’m actually a little curious to hear what kind of new bullsh*t he could possibly spew that anyone would believe. But, I’m sure we’ll be disappointed. He’ll have nothing new and the Republicans, who should boycott, will still be there. Maybe I will skip it, after all.

      • freedom1781 says:

He’s basically going to tell the country that he’s no longer president, he’s now a dictator and no one will challenge him. Obviously, Congress Critters are spineless and there are too many stupid sheeple in the country; civics is no longer taught in school. We are living in scary times.

    • solaratov says:

Both C-Span and youtube are going to run it live, and I don’t have much trouble watching things on them — but! I cannot stand to watch that little peckerwood flapping his gums and knowing that he’s lying or threatening me with every word. πŸ™„
I think I’m going to hang out at HotAir and read the running commentary on the “SOTU Open Thread”. That is always hysterical! You might want to check it out. And, I’ll be stopping in here, as well. (Just to be sure you’re hanging on dear leader’s every word. 😦 )

Question for the DC area folks:
We have been trying to get the answer to a time-sensitive question from an Alexandria VA business for three weeks. They finally called today and said they had been closed all last week due to weather. Were a lot of businesses closed there last week, or are we just getting “snowed?”

    • zmalfoy says:

In Alexandria? Hrmmm, no, things were closed for liek a day and a half, maybe two. However, some localities had schools off the whole week. If the business is small, or the owners/ workers live in those counties and had to stay home with the kids (or even, couldnt’ get out with the kids), it’s kid aa bit plausible. But if they’re not a small business, then you’re getting snowed. Alexandria itself clears up pretty quickly. Loudon, other counties. . . not so quick. . .

  15. Knight4GFC says:

If there was ever a great description of how bHo is “navigating” this country, this would be it.

Ship ‘wrecked’: 26,000 ton boat crashes into land.

  16. Knight4GFC says:

“In the first-ever case of a U.S. citizen being convicted and sentenced to prison based in part on evidence gathered by a drone, Lakota, N.D., farmer Rodney Brossart got a three-year sentence for his role in an armed standoff with police that began after he was accused of stealing his neighbors’ stray cattle in 2011.”

  21. Knight4GFC says:

Obama: “I intend to keep trying, with or without Congress, to help stop more tragedies.” (on “gun violence”)

    BE AFRAID! Be veeery AFRAID!

    • Knight4GFC says:

Obama: “Citizenship means standing up for the lives that gun violence steals from us each day.”

      • tessa50 says:

I have just about had it with the stupid pres and stupid peeps in congress spewing crap about how taking guns from law abiding citizens will help crime rates. Who the heck do they think will have the guns then? Aw gee, idk, maybe the criminals?

I cannot remember but a few cwp peeps commiting a gun crime, but I know Chicago, Detroit, Philly and so on crime rates. If gang members and just criminals, people who are going to do wrong just because they want to, and are going to have access to guns just like they do to drugs because they are going to get them illegally, please tell me how that stops gun crimes.

Does anyone up there in waawaa land think anymore?

  22. Knight4GFC says:

“Here at home, we’ll keep strengthening our defenses, and combat new threats like cyberattacks.” β€”President Obama

    Strengthen our defenses… yeah right!

    • tessa50 says:

Combat new threats from cyber attacks? Oh man, I got to quit reading tonight. Because he might as well have said gee, I will quit doing my cyber attacks against you, and my spying and my taking your insurance and letting the IRS now govern your lives about triple what they did before.

  23. Knight4GFC says:

President Obama: “We will not be safer if people abroad believe we strike their countries without regard for the consequence.”

  24. texan59 says:

Looks like Boehner & Co. are ready to cave on the debt ceiling next. We’ve already heard they’re gonna start pushing immigration through and the farm bill is another fiasco. When exactly are they going to wait to spring their trap on the libtards and tell us this has all been a big fat joke. I hate all of ’em. πŸ‘Ώ πŸ‘Ώ

    • Knight4GFC says:

You know, the underlying but heavy tone of most of the SOTU, was socialistic in nature! Sweet sounding on the outside, promising a better life (in general), so long as “Big Bully” is in control and a part in every aspect of your life.

  25. Knight4GFC says:

Obama: “Any long-term deal we agree to must be based on verifiable action that convinces us…that Iran is not building a nuclear bomb.”

Obama: “We’re engaged in negotiations to…peacefully achieve a goal we all share: preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”

Obama: “Let me be clear: If this Congress sends me a new sanctions bill now that threatens to derail these talks, I will veto it.”

Iran is such a trustworthy fellow…. No problem at all. THEY WILL WALK ALL OVER YOU AND WE WILL PAY DEARLY IF HE CONTINUES TO PANDER TO TERRORISTS!

  26. Knight4GFC says:

“God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.” β€”President Obama

He will not bless where He is not wanted.

      • Oh give me a break! It’s just funny because being in the construction side of the business world we don’t hire women to do a man’s job! It’s just common sense which most people are in need of these days. Funnier is how they twist things to try and make US common sense folks feel like we are anti women or something. Duh!

  28. Knight4GFC says:

I cannot quote all of bHo’s monologue on how women must be treated equal to men in pay, etc… but boy, the words are deceptively cunning and CONTROLLING. Remove God/morals, and both men and women’s hearts become cold (example: choosing to abort their unborn child). Destroy the Heart – kill the family values. Kill family values – society breaks down, thus bringing this country, as we know it, to it’s knees. GOVERNMENT CONTROL – Evil reigns.

  29. tessa50 says:

This night with this pres put me in a bad mood, sorry. I worry, because if half the country lives off the govt., then of course they will keep voting that way. I really don’t think a republican will take pres, not that I know yet who that republican would be. But even if a republican did, look at what’s happening now. The republicans up there are not doing squat. I really do fear for this country.

    • I can’t agree more. 😦

    • Knight4GFC says:

I must admit I fear as well. But holding my faith in God and not in humanity, I look forward and am hoping that the inevitable happens sooner rather than later. I want to be on the other side. I want to be the one that makes it to the other side. I will either make it, or die trying. This country is in a death spiral. It will take a miracle to save this country without bloodshed. JMHO. Everything else is just prolonging the agony.
