Ukraine’s Parliament Acknowledges Removal of Yanukovych by Coup

Wearing ski helmets and wielding clubs, protestors took control of the presidential complex in Kiev earlier today after President Viktor F. Yanukovych fled the city, declaring the event a “violent coup.”  Meanwhile, opposition leaders (below) celebrated as Parliament voted to remove Yanukovych from office.23ukraine7_part-superJumbo

    Tymoshenko made her billions on a sweet deal involving the delivery of natural gas. She is part of a money laundering case in the US. She is not Joan of Arc by any means. But in this part of the world, you are sometimes stuck with and rooting for the lesser of two evils.

    • What do you mean “in this part of the world?” We’re not exactly swimming in good choices over here. 😉

      But just to make things comparable, let’s put Hillary in prison for a few years before we let her run for President. It’s only fair. 😀
