Note: This is a nostalgic photo honoring all the poor conservatives driving Ford Festivas or Fiats or Yugos who daily face profiling for their crumby rides. It’s not an endorsement of beating up hippies. Unless there’s a Phish concert next door and they’re squatting on your property. Then have at it. This bus reminds me of a good friend from northern California who had one of these growing up, and suffered through many middle-of-nowhere breakdowns all over the Sierras from Mono Lake to Death Valley. I think he had a sticker on the back that said “Non-hippie bus. Don’t ask me for weed.” It still didn’t help.

    • Great links and stories over there, Zoph! I agree about the “slaver” word usage. No reason to change a perfectly accurate word and make it softer when we’re describing something evil.

        Thanks Grunt!

I suspect I know why the wording was changed, and it bothers me greatly. I think because if they called it “slavery”, and publically acknowledged that “slavery” still f*cking exists (and who many of the perpetrators tend to be), it would destroy the narrative regarding “how bad it is for African-Americans in the US”. The instant you point out that slavery is still a problem, and a huge sector of the slave trade is controlled my Muslim funding. . . that’s a lot of wind out of some very powerful sails, and they can’t deal with that. So they change the word, so they can claim concern for the problem, while still being parasites on the people that would care, if properly informed.

        • Yup. Just look at Barack alone. It kinda ruins his put-down black man creds when you point out that he has no slaves in his family tree, but he very likely has SLAVERS in his family tree from Islamic East Africa.

      Good stuff Z.

    • Progs always make things worse with their rules. Beans are one of the most affordable staple foods for the poor around the world, like rice. But they want to ban it to save the planet. Once we’re all dead they’ll be happy.

      • freedom1781 says:

We should counter this nonsense by saying, to those progs’ faces, that they want poor people to starve and die. Turn it around on them. Apparently facts don’t work on brain-dead libs, pulling on their heartstrings works much better, as I am starting to realize, especially with some of my liberal friends. For some reason, cold-hard facts just don’t work as well as the “feelings” approach.

The government ammo and firearms purchasing is beginning to be put to use. The BLM has its own militarized police force.

“They’re carrying the same things a soldier would,” he said. “Automatic weapons, sniper rifles, top communication, top surveillance equipment, lots of vehicles. It’s heavy soldier type equipment.”

His wife, Carol Bundy, said that roughly 200 armed agents from the BLM and FBI are stationed around their land, located about 75 miles outside of Las Vegas. Helicopters circle the premises, and the airspace and nearby roads remain blocked.

“We’re surrounded,” Carol Bundy said. “We’re estimating that there are over 200 armed BLM, FBI. We’ve got surveillance cameras at our house, they’re probably listening to me talk to you right now…”

…This afternoon eight helicopters surrounded the family after they began taking pictures, according to Bundy’s daughter, Bailey. Their son, Dave Bundy, was arrested for taking pictures on state road 170, which has been closed, and is being held by BLM…

…Environmentalists are praising the government’s forceful actions, which are being taken to protect the “desert tortoise…”

      Socialism at its finest.

“Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval (R.) voiced his concern about so-called ‘First Amendment Areas,’ designated locations set up by the BLM where citizens can protest the removal.

‘Most disturbing to me is the BLM’s establishment of a ‘First Amendment Area’ that tramples upon Nevadans’ fundamental rights under the U.S. Constitution,’ he said in a statement Tuesday.

‘To that end, I have advised the BLM that such conduct is offensive to me and countless others and that the ‘First Amendment Area’ should be dismantled immediately,’ he said. ‘No cow justifies the atmosphere of intimidation which currently exists nor the limitation of constitutional rights that are sacred to all Nevadans. The BLM needs to reconsider its approach to this matter and act accordingly.’

Sandoval also said his office has received numerous complaints about the BLM’s conduct, including road closures and “other disturbances.'”

      • Gov. Sandoval’s protests show that this is much more than a BLM land-use issue or an individual rights issue. This is a “States-Against-the-Feds” issue. If the states had ANY sovereignty at all, this could never happen. The Feds are out of control.

According to an editorial in Investors Business Daily, “Islamofascism: With an eye toward the 2016 election, the radical Muslim Brotherhood has built the framework for a political party in America that seeks to turn Muslims into an Islamist voting bloc. “Muslim voters have the potential to be swing voters in 2016,” said Nihad Awad in launching the benign-sounding U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), whose membership reads like a Who’s Who of Brotherhood front groups. We are aiming to bring more participation from the Muslim community.”

I don’t know about other states, but down here you have to have income less than @ $925/month to qualify for full medical benefits under Medicaid. WTH have they done to this country? 👿

      . . . cosmic ray hits. . . in the visible spectra? . . . mmmm, ok . . . I think the sunlight or electrical discharge ideas more likely . . .

      • Not sure, but I think they mean cosmic ray (or high energy particle) striking the CCD array of the camera itself, which can cause a “flash” or a bright spot, I think. I don’t know if this looks like one of those or not. It looks like it’s over a number of pixels.

        • zmalfoy says:

ok, now that’s a distinct possibility. . .I thought they were trying to say that “A cosmic ray came in, hit the ground, and looked like this when it happened. . .”
But hitting the display and causing an “artifact” like this . . . ok, yeah, I can see that . . .
