I am trying to figure out a collective noun for liberals (e.g., a gaggle of geese). I bet that would be an interesting thread. In the interim, enjoy this list of collective nouns for groups of animals:

      Ah! I love it! —-^

The down express elevator (shaft) is ready for you Mikey. Say “hi” to ted Kennedy for us.

      *giggles* omg, that picture!!1 LOL!

this story reminds me of this scene (warning for Gabriel using a harsh word at the very end):

      • I’ve never got around to watching Constantine, but I need to see it. I hope it’s on Netflix.

        • zmalfoy says:

It might get a bit scary for young ones, but it’s otherwise fun and even has a decent message about love and sacrifice. . .

          • That’s good. I’m a little gun-shy about some of the heavy theological thrillers, because they botch the spiritual stuff so badly. Some are on the right page, though. Even stupid, misguided ones can be funny, like Dogma.

            • zmalfoy says:

Keep in mind it’s based on a comic book series. Dogma, for all it was stupid and misguided, is one of my faves– because it’s funny, and because it has some good points about actual Faith, forgiveness, and “God’s quirky sense of humor”. (And Alan Rickman’s Metatron was simply perfect!)

I find Hollywood generally can’t get religious stuff “Right”– but as long as they’re not trying to make claims that “This is how it really is” (as some of the heavy ones do), I’m okay with Alt. Universe artistic license.

As for Constantine. . . I don’t wanna post spoilers. I’ll say this: There are things with the “religious lore” to pick over. [For instance, I don’t know why Balthazar is a demon–according to actual lore, aside from being the name of one of the three Magi, “Baltzar” is the name of the angel invoked when you wish to obtain a lady’s garter. (Not kidding. This is according to Davidson’s dictionary of angels. . )]. But the overall message– why Constantine was living under condemnation, how that’s resolved, etc. . . actually pretty good. For one, this isn’t a “God’s a jerk!” or “The Church is full of Meanies!” movie, so that immediately puts it above a slew of “more serious” films . . . (In this case, our hero, Constantine, is the jerk! 😛 )

              • That’s good to know, about Constantine. I can’t wait to see it. And sorry if I was too critical of Dogma. I actually like it a lot. It was only a slightly mixed bag, and actually quite inspired, and very funny.

FBI Visiting SC Gun Shops to Investigate “People Talking About Big Government”!

First on the list of suspicious behavior: paying in cash.

    • Great. Good luck with that. It’s gonna be a big list.

      • barnslayer says:

“Reluctant or unwilling to produce valid I.D.” ….. illegal aliens, moslems, democrat voters
“Lack of knowledge regarding firearms or product usage” ….. take note NYPD
“Hints of illegal or misuse of explosives” ……. warning to any normal boy or volunteer firemen.
“New or unknown customer” …….. I guess the store shouldn’t advertise … might get some coming in.

  3. Speaking of animals, here’s a very cool vintage site with some good color photos of animals associated with the invasion of Europe during WW2. Stole this from iOTW.

  4. It’s Holy Week. Time for leftists to be even more annoying and bigoted against Christians than usual.
