The original nonsense by Dreher is utter nonsense. These social experts also predicted a geometric progression of AIDS that would end all life on earth… I think that was supposed to happen at least 10 years ago. They wax eloquent with total disregard for reality. Same as the global warming proponent judging for us all based solely on what he can see from his apartment in NYC.

      • Wow. Extremely well put, Barn. Bottom line is that they can make up whatever vision they want, but people have been predicting the end of Christianity “in 10 years” for 2000 years. I worked on a space launch project with a Saudi named Saj for a few years in the 90s, and he would tell us regularly: “You guys will all be muslims in 10 years.” There was another atheist named Delvaux who told me: “You’re just Christian because you were indoctrinated as a child. You’ll figure it out in 10 years.”

Well, guess what, guys. It didn’t happen in 10 years. Ain’t gonna happen in 100 years. But time will tell, and one thing I know for certain is that God’s Truth will prevail. It will be our own little pet theories and desirements that will be swept into oblivion in the end.

        Thanks for the link, Knight!

        OH, and BTW. He says:
“They don’t grasp that Christianity, properly understood, is not a moralistic therapeutic adjunct to bourgeois individualism–but is radically opposed to the cultural order (or disorder) that reigns today.” Well, anything “radically opposed” to what reigns today is something I DO want to be a part of.

You are welcome! “Well, anything ‘radically opposed’ to what reigns today is something I DO want to be a part of.” AMEN.

IMHO, I believe a major part of why this country and the rest of the world lacks, in morality is because WE Christians, especially the Church leadership, have weakened on their stance, against immorality, of the Faith, and lacking spiritual leadership. You do not concede in your faith and morals, for which the martyrs have shed their blood, and Truths that have withstood for 2000+ years, just to get “liked” by the world, or be “popular” again, etc… I could go on and on but do not have the time. Christianity was not popular early on in it’s history. It’s not popular now. We gained believers, not by denying Our Lord, but by standing up for Truth against the evil ways of the world. Martyrs died for the Truth. They became inspirations to unbelievers to believe and live a life of Truth – a higher calling out of the world and it’s sinful ways. We gained MANY believers because of the martyrs. Regrettably, the Church leadership, as a whole, is failing in this aspect today. Christ’s Words, His Truth, always was, always is, and always will be, THE SAME. The world may change, but God does not! God’s Word does not need updates. TRUTH IS, as TRUTH WAS. Take it, or leave it. JMHO.

The only thing that can lead to the end of Christianity will be the continued efforts by the leadership of the various denominations to push their vaunted social justice bile onto their followers. I for one, have a hard time contributing to the cause when I know a portion of that money is going to promote amnesty for illegals, AGW caca and the like.

Harry Reid and Chinese company building solar plant are behind a standoff between BLM and a Nevada rancher

  5. Knight4GFC says:

“(Breitbart) – One of the militia groups who joined the effort to ‘protect’ the Bundy family and their ranch from the armed Bureau of Land Management (BLM) rangers admitted they are prepared to use deadly force in self-defense in Nevada or Texas. Several militia groups have joined ranks to provide “protection” to keep the BLM from taking property from the Bundy Ranch, most of which operates on federally owned land…”

Waiting for the left to start the name calling attacks against him. How dare he stray from the plantation?

  6. Knight4GFC says:

I do not know who the heck these people think they are!

“A week after the incident, another administrator allegedly told Burch and fellow student Anthony Vizzone that if they wanted to protest, the proper place would be in the university’s “free speech zone.” The administrator also allegedly said, “This isn’t really the ‘60s anymore” and “people can’t really protest like that anymore.”

The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education is assisting in this lawsuit as it did in the case of a California student who also was ordered to stop handing out copies of the Constitution, which occurred on Constitution Day. His lawsuit was settled in late February…”

  7. Knight4GFC says:

“First, this is textbook; Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals rule #12

‘Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.’ Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)”

See, the Left cannot win any argument on the merits of their beliefs; they have to attack the personalities involved. The Politics of Personal Destruction Bill Clinton once called it – while being a master practitioner of the tactic himself. As the old legal adage says, if the facts are against you argue the law, if the law is against you argue the facts, if both are against you attack the parties involved. This last is what Liberals do, because they have neither facts nor laws on their side. They have to impugn people’s motives…”
