“She Sensed Disquiet in the Realm.”  Must be one of those pesky Tea Party troublemakers.  From the treasonous hand of the Earl of Taint.

Looks like reeducation camp may take awhile.

FTA – “Miami has required that Jones undergo “educational training” for his comments. Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey said Thursday night that there is no timetable for Jones to return.”

I was going to include this in my Friday Funday post, but I think it would be more appropriate here.
Darwin takes another one out of the gene pool.
BAD IDEA: Teen Kills Dumb Friend ‘Trying out’ Bulletproof Vest
A South Carolina teenager was charged with involuntary manslaughter after police say she fired a shot at a friend in a bulletproof vest, but missed the Kevlar and struck him in the heart.

What kind of nitwit puts on a vest, hands a firearm to a bimbo and says:’see if this is really bulletproof.’
Maybe she really is a good shot and wanted to get rid of her boyfriend.

    • I was thinking about this last night and almost felt sorry for the dumb guy. I mean, what are the odds that a measly .22 would penetrate to the heart anyway? With your sternum in the way? With or without Kevlar? I could almost see myself – almost – being willing to take a similar risk. But then I came to my senses. No way would anybody be that stupid. He must have been really desperately trying to impress her.

      • Unfortunately she “impressed” upon him! I think living with herself is goingt to be more punishment than anyone else could dish out providing this was indeed an accident. What are the odds?

  4. Democrats: Protecting Sex Based Abortions was a Misunderstanding, But OK (Parody)
LOS ANGELES (WNB) – California Democrats say they misunderstood what they were voting for when they repealed legislation that would have denied abortions based strictly on sex.

“We thought the legislation prevented women from aborting babies caused by sex,” said one lawmaker. “When we found out what it really was, we were relieved that we still made the right decision – who wants girls when raising an effeminate boy is so much more rewarding?”

  5. Burge: “Grey’s Anatomy: gone, but forgotten.”
I saw the pilot episode of that show 10 years ago. Proudly never saw another. Lamented the 50 minutes wasted.

    • zmalfoy says:

Never saw an episode, never wanted to. I mean, who wants to watch a show about doctors and nurses getting it on when there’s shows about Demon-hunting, or terrorist hunting, or superheroes, or. . . well, you get my drift.

Main problem with the concept of Grey’s Anatomy? Not enough explosions or kung-fu

      • Who wants to watch TV period! Sitcoms are just missing the “H” and serve no purpose to your brain than degrade it! As far as anything else…..well thats your choice! imho
I can think of a millionb better things to “waste” my time on…lol

        • Like sitting here in the dentist office reading this stuff. to my son! Thank god the TV’s off for now!

I stopped watching network TV long ago.We have more than 150 channels on our cable, but we only watch about 7 or 8.My favorites are Duck Dynasty,Pawn Stars,Beyond Scared Straight and my favorite,Swamp People…where there’s nary a liberal, gay or enviro-wacko to be seen.

          • barnslayer says:

A couple of my patients were on Pawn Stars. They were told how to react to the offers. The items are interesting the rest is BS. ChumLee’s new teeth are an abomination.
Still I watch it as well as American Pickers, Duck Dynasty etc. Also up there is Top Gear on BBC America. I find them pretty entertaining.

        • If you mean they’re missing the “Heart,” then I totally agree. I haven’t watched any network TV, except for Hawaii Five-O, of course, 😀 for a long time for that reason.

The formula used in Grey’s Anatomy was the typical one used in most shows:
          1. Two attractive, single doctors [interchange lawyer, etc.]? Check.
          2. Sweaty, edgy, meaningless sex in the first 5 minutes of the pilot? Check.
          3. “Smart,” witty dialogue with no real substance? Check.
          4. Obnoxious, quirky supporting cast? Check, check.
          5. Any actual, potential heart surgically removed from script? Triple check.

    • barnslayer says:

I read the book in school. Never saw the show.

Today, Remington announced they are closing plants in New York and moving operations to Alabama.
The Firearms Blog reported, via American Survival Guide:

The buzz around the industry early yesterday was that Advanced Armament Corp was being closed down and relocated. Before the end of business yesterday, employees at six Remington properties along with two production lines in Ilion, New York, were told their companies- and jobs- were relocating to Huntsville, Alabama.
like Mac Arthur told the boys at Corregidor…..Bye.

Dept of Agriculture Orders Submachine Guns with 30 Round Magazines
Why would people who inspect a farmers’ crops and livestock need automatic weapons?
A May 7th solicitation by the U.S. Department of Agriculture seeks “the commercial acquisition of submachine guns [in] .40 Cal. S&W.”

According to the solicitation, the Dept. of Agriculture wants the guns to have an “ambidextrous safety, semiautomatic or 2 round [bursts] trigger group, Tritium night sights front and rear, rails for attachment of flashlight (front under fore group) and scope (top rear), stock collapsible or folding,” and a “30 rd. capacity” magazine.

They also want the submachine guns to have a “sling,” be “lightweight,” and have an “oversized trigger guard for gloved operation.”

The solicitation directs “all responsible and/or interested sources…[to] submit their company name, point of contact, and telephone.” Companies that submit information in a “timely” fashion “shall be considered by the agency for contact to determine weapon suitability.”

There is still no indication what they need them for.Thoughts??

“Exclusive: Portlock madam releases black book

BY MALIA ZIMMERMAN – HONOLULU – A 33-year-old madam who operated her elite prostitution business from Portlock, one of Hawaii’s most prestigious neighborhoods, for about a decade, said her list of clientele included a former member of Hawaii’s congressional delegation, judges, a deputy prosecutor and celebrities…”
    Read more here:

    • Is Malia the most common woman’s name in Hawaii? Both the author and the subject are both named Malia.

Hey Tex! It says one of their “loaded” clients was a famous chef from the Food Network. Could it be one of the guys you’ve met? Maybe that Japanese Iron Chef dude who plays Wo Fat on Hawaii Five-O? He films in Honolulu. Cooooouuuuld be…
