    What a beautiful picture!

    • HicksterA says:

Most of them on here are. One of the primary reasons for visiting this site. Yes, it is beautiful!

      • What??? You’re only here for the photos? Not the brilliant discussion? On behalf of all the conversational geniuses around here, I’m offended. ):(< 😉

        • HicksterA says:

Lol! Let’s see, shall I try for diplomacy or not? The fact is, I’ve sort of been singular in hanging out at the WZ site; yet, I do from time to time browse around. Very much appreciate your site, along with Flopping Aces, etc. Trouble is, just not online a whole lot.
The photos are refreshing. Mostly. Appreciate them much! Each one has their unique attributes.

          • I used to post photos that had nice attributes, like this one, but my wife made me stop. 😦

            • HicksterA says:

And as a woman how shall I diplomatically respond?

              • I don’t know if you noticed, but we’re not really that diplomatic around here. Just call me a hopeless moron like everybody else does. 😀

              • HicksterA says:

Since there isn’t a reply portion following your comment, guess I just need to answer through my own reply.
Lol. Yes, I think it is necessary for me to be diplomatic on this matter. It is good for the women who can be womanly appealing to the male eye. In their dress manners, etc. Though, having said that, seems like the target is always moving for the females in regards to the manner of dress as it defines their femininity in the male eye…. or whatever. Whereas for males the dress garb has infinitely remained static. Of course, excluding the manner of “dress” in the raghead crowds. For women, it’s just a whole lot more complexities with everything. Speaking directly, I would not be suited for her same outfit. It’s just a matter of how it is. For her, it works. It’s not about simply skin, either.
So then, now then I’ve swam off that diving board, I’ve got other things to temporarily tend to.

              • I don’t know, Hickster. It seems to me that what is traditionally beautiful in women, to a male eye, has not changed and will never change. I think the presumed “standards” have soared to impossible heights, and we all need to look past that insanity and encourage each other about where our true value lies. But as far as what’s pleasing, all women are beautiful in my book, especially those who embrace their own natural beauty and don’t try to be floozies or supermodels. You’ve got me thinking now about maybe going through with a post on this subject that I’ve been hesitant to go through with. It has to do with God’s view of beauty. I’ll have to think about that some more…

              • Oh boy can’t wait!

              • You’re mocking me, aren’t you? I’m onto you, GFC-monkey. 😉

              • HicksterA says:

(Once again there is no “reply” at the ending of your comment for which to reply, so I’ll use my same comment….. some type of computer hokus-pokus, whatever.)
Ok. Will try to watch for that article. So much to read on the world wide web, y’know.

              • Sorry about the lack-o-reply button thing. We’ve got WordPress set up to only go so many layers deep, because otherwise the comments get really thin. So you just have to respond to the next one up the conversation. Or make a new one.

              • What A Hoot says:

Grunt, you date yourself with the word “floozy” which, by the way, is one of my favorite words.

I love this tweet from Insolent Puppy:
She meant to do that. Because of the patriarchy. @lachlan @redsteeze @SandraFluke @S_A_Smoot

As a graphic designer, I totally agree that that is a fugly design. Ick.

I love stories with a happy ending.
“Somebody just tried to rob my store and I killed one of them,” he told the 911 dispatcher. “I shot him. He had a gun.”

There was one customer in the store at the time of the shooting, but neither the customer nor the store owner were injured during the incident.

When police arrived, the suspect was pronounced dead. Some time later, the parking lot became a scene of chaos as the suspect’s mother arrived to identify her “baby.”

  7. Knight4GFC says:

That is cause for celebration, and we remember that each year on July 4th. The usual way? Picnics, barbeques and fireworks! But, don’t count on those fireworks if they happen to fall over a body of water… a branch of the Executive – the Environmental Protection Agency, a regulatory agency ultimately controlled by the President via his Cabinet, has decided that you might not be seeing those fireworks. Why? The Clean Water Act, and their attempt to expand their authority by expanding the definition of “waters of the United States.”

    • freedom1781 says:

Figures. This administration is so anti-American.

Almost every Independence Day, I watch fireworks over the York River where the Battle of Yorktown was fought during the Revolutionary War. I doubt George Washington would be too pleased to hear this news. We’ve already had to fight the National Park Service to keep the fireworks. It got pretty ugly and caused me to despise the NPS even more. Even the libs in the office couldn’t believe that the NPS could be “so unpatriotic.”

“In an institution dominated by dictators and notorious for corruption and scandals, it takes a lot to stand out or attract worldwide condemnation and scrutiny from across the political spectrum. Director General Francis Gurry (shown) with the United Nations World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), though, has managed to accomplish precisely that — secretly sending technology to dictators, stonewalling investigations, allegedly retaliating against whistleblowers, engaging in alleged corruption and cronyism, and much more. Now he is even threatening journalists with criminal prosecutions for reporting on official documents outlining the alleged abuses…”

‘How many families is our government willing to sacrifice? How much mental illness is it willing to cause? How much American blood are they willing to spill needlessly to fight a foe that is demonstrably unable to touch the United States?

Beyond the senseless shedding of blood, there is the galling evidence that the weapons that would deliver death to American soldiers have been bought by our own government. As Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Admiral John Kirby recently admitted to reporters, ISIS militants are “driving some of these vehicles, they’re in possession of some of this stuff, but I’d be loathe to tell you that we actually have a really solid sense of what they’ve got.”

Finally, the question must be asked: Will the United States be any safer when Americans begin being sent home from Iraq in flag-draped coffins?

Americans, even those who favor an interventionist foreign policy, need not support this operation — one that will end in devastation, not of the homeland, but of the those sent to “protect” it. Not in the installation of a more democratic government in Iraq, but in the growth of a more tyrannical one at home.’

‘Well trolled, Metallica’: Band pokes back at anti-hunting whiners [video, pics]

“Earlier this month, Twitchy told you about the halfwits who wanted Metallica frontman James Hetfield murdered for his support of hunting. Hetfield narrates “The Hunt,” the History Channel’s series on Kodiak brown bear hunting.

If they couldn’t see him hunted down and shot to death, critics hoped Metallica would at least get yanked from the Glastonbury music festival in England. Others complained that heavy metal doesn’t belong at Glastonbury.

But the whiners lost and Metallica couldn’t resist addressing the screechy uproar. “Glastallica” T-shirts proudly flaunting the criticism were reportedly sold at the festival.”

So, I’ve thought for a while that their extreme pacifism was eventually gonna bite them, so I’m glad for them.

On the other hand, watch out! There’s a reason the US had to bomb two of their cities and get the Emperor to destroy the national religion. They have long had a reputation for being vicious little bastards when it came to war and fighting. (Granted, they had to learn to be that way to remain independant from imperial china for so long, but still . . .)
