DO YOU REMEMBER THESE?

Every once in awhile I like to do a little reminiscing about a time that was less frenetic, maybe a little more innocent(at least it seemed to us)and to be a little saddened to think our children and grandchildren will never know how good it once was.
Some of these were pulled from Facebook, some I just remembered from an earlier time. You’ll recognize some of these, but some you may not unless you’re REALLY old.

We couldn’t afford these,so my granny split the seams in my dungarees and sewed a triangle of cloth to them to widen them.I was the coolest kid in school.

If you remember this you’re REALLY dating yourself. It was the first interactive TV show and aired on CBS from 1953-1957.The kit included a piece of vinyl to press on the television screen and crayons. They would draw lines on the monitor and you traced them on the sheet. Then you could peel it off and color it.There was also a magic cloth to wipe it clean so you could be ready for the next week.

Who didn’t try this on a hot day before you let the water run awhile?

These came in Kellogg’s cereal.Put some baking soda in the bottom and drop them in the tub……magic.

It is not healthy to live in the past, but it seems a good place to visit once in awhile.

Back then nearly every cereal had a prize in it.t didn’t matter what the cereal tasted like as long as there was a cool plastic or tin prize inside.
