Merry Chriistmas Eve GFC’ers! We received our first snow of the season yesterday on Mauna Kea. From snow to lava (yes, lava flows are still threatening Pahoa town) and snowboarding to surfing. That’s living the HI-life. πŸ™‚

A lovely meditative prayer said during this Advent/Christmas season:

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment
In which the Son of God was born
Of the most pure Virgin Mary,
    at midnight,
    in Bethlehem,
    in the piercing cold.
In that hour vouchsafe, O my God,
to hear my prayer and grant my desires,
through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ,
and of His blessed Mother. Amen.

  3. Blessed Christmas to all! Glad you Hawaiians have some snow for the season up on the mountain. We are frosty and white and snowy here. God’s peace to you, GFC’ers!

And tell Knight that I still know the chocolate-covered ika (squid) is from him. I’ll get back at you, Wiseguy! πŸ˜‰ Mahalo!
