Some opposition caught picking his nose. Classy.
Grunt waves the rattlesnake in front of a statue of Denver Civil War soldier carrying an assault rifle.
A better picture of the Civil War “assault rifle” monument on the west steps of the capital building.
Grunt, thanks for the pics! How was the demeanor of passersby and the police?
I celebrated by going skeet shooting.
Sounds good! That’s one of the things you were encouraged to do today: go shooting! The cars going by were generally pretty supportive, with lots of honking and thumbs up. A few middle fingers. The Denver police had a good presence, but they were just observing and were respectful and reasonable. The crowd was in great spirits, and they were a lot of fun. We showed up for the late shift when the crowds had thinned, but we heard there were around a thousand people between noon and 1pm. Awesome day!
That’s awesome Grunt.
Here is a video that was forwarded to me that fits. It kinda hit me today better than it did yesterday, but I don’t know why.
Thanks! Good video.
Good video! Prayers up!!!
Thanks to Harvey for the tip on the rally today.
I’m feeling a little guilty for not going myself. Thank you for giving us a report.

Why do all the anti 2nd amendment signs look like they were done by the same person? The lettering is so neat and evenly spaced. :

Well, this sucks. A chief Vatican spokesman comes out saying Obama’s gun control initiatives are not the only solution but are a “step in the right direction.” It’s dismaying to see them using this to push general disarmament, which they are usually in favor of. But for them to support the Anti-Christ Obama in ANY WAY is pretty discouraging, because they know the Church in America is struggling against him for its very existence. I chalk it up to extreme short-sightedness and a cluelessness about the continuing global need for evil to be combatted by force of arms, which is apparently something they still find too distasteful and unfortunate to really get behind. That’s too bad, because the existence of the Vatican itself has been threatened and defended by firearms many times in the past, and they need to remember that. Idiots. It seems more and more recently that the Pope is failing to effectively control some of the more liberal elements in the curia, in this case Fr. Lombardi.

I do NOT understand this at all. How can the Pope, of all people, not see what is really at stake here.
Welcome, Annie. I find it shocking as well. It’s entirely possible that the Pope, himself, is not even aware that this is being broadcast as his position. I’ve read that as he gets older, he has less and less stomach for the internal political fighting, and he may not get into the policy fights at all unless it gets his attention. Hopefully this will cause enough of a scandal that he will begin to reign in Fr. Lombardi. I hope so. I can’t believe he really supports this.
