Hey barn – looks like the next mayor of NYNY is a real doozy. Yikes!!

Yeah…. another winner. Fat chance of the republican winning. I would have preferred Wiener over de Blasio. He’d have been too preoccupied to do anything.

That pic looks like the backyard of Hogwarts. . . lol

In other news, a 7.8 EQ struck Pakistan this morning (eastern time). I’m seeing it on the RSOE, but not any articles yet. Will link when I can.

  3. Pelosi is granted the rare privilege of being excommunicated. Hat tips: CtH and iotw.

And by the way, that’s what “excommunicated” means. It doesn’t mean she can’t go to church. It doesn’t mean she goes to jail. It just means she’s denied communion as an outward sign that she’s not in complete communion with the Church, and when she publicly says things like “My devout Catholic faith tells me promoting abortion is ok” that she’s a big fat liar. And it’s official. Finally.

    • zmalfoy says:

Amen. Nice to have this, officially. Now, let’s hope it is enforced, and held in her face, until she either shuts up, or cracks beneath the pressure of His Grace and Forgiveness and publically repents. . .

    • Well it is a pity! Any soul lost is always a pity. Long overdue though, very long. It is sad because todays verse of the day is so true and yet so many think it’s a joke or don’t think at all. A crying shame and a total disgrace to our Lord! Sorry, but we must “judge” them by their fruits!

  4. “I think I can speak for everyone in the group that it was an honor to meet this man,” the video description continues. “This is what we need to see from police officers everywhere! THIS MAN IS A HERO.”

  5. Hey Sol! When you get back online, check out this 7th FS Reunion site that Franta Sredl dropped by! Pretty cool!

    • Hey Barn! Did you find any good stuff on that Port Moresby site? Just by coincidence, I spotted this over on Wirecutter’s site, which is also a photo from the war in the Pacific. Carrier landing gone bad. The deck hand has some courage climbing on a burning plane trying to save the pilot.

      • barnslayer says:

        Here’s a nice shot of some pre-war Seversky P-35s
The P-35 was the first single seat, all metal pursuit plane with retractable landing gear and fully enclosed cockpit. The aircraft was 25 feet long, 9 feet, 9 inches high and weighed 5,600 pounds. Each plane cost $22,500 and had a maximum speed of 280 MPH with a range of 625 miles and a ceiling of 30,600 feet.
Seversky Aircraft became Republic Aircraft making the P-47 all the way through the A-10 (Fairchild Republic) at Farmingdale Long island.

Like the photo of Scotland! It captures the “first days of creation” feeling that Scotland’s landscapes have (as opposed to Ireland’s “first days of Elvendom in Middle Earth” feeling.
