Sorry for this post. I now officially have advanced old-timers disease. I saw this on FB and ran with it instead of looking into it. Apparently this happened a year ago. My apologies. 😳

    • The debt clock is stuck.

Note the “flat line” back in January 2013 the last time we were having debt ceiling issues/discussions.

And note how as soon as the issue passed and the flatline ended, the debt shot back up to where it would have been anyway.

I.E., put a ruler up to the graph and see how the line from 11/1/12 to 1/1/13 meets back up with the data point on 3/1/13. The “flat line” and data point at 2/1/13 is a farce… a shell game where the “total debt” is kept ficticiously steady because they aren’t counting the borrowing going on as part of the β€œextraordinary measures”. But as soon as the limit is raised, the β€œextraordinary measures” are repaid and the debt shoots right back up to where it really is.

And note how an extension of that slope shows that our real total debt right now is well over $17 Trillion.

    • That’s a good response.

This one is easy. Anyone telling you Christie is the front runner, the next logical candidate, the most electable…. stop listening! The democrats logically want the GOP to field a beatable candidate. The old school GOP has been poisoned and no longer represents an opposite to the democrats. The more groups compliment a candidate the worse he is. By contrast, Ted Cruz, Allen West, etc have been harshly criticized by both the RINOs and the democrats. Those are our winners. The guys presenting a clear and distinct difference. Remember, the liberals will vote for the democrat…. and NOT for the “most electable” republican.

It is very quiet for such a seriously bad situation for ALL of us and what is happening and absolutely nothing is being done to change or deal with the crisis
